Holmes secured two of three targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 30-27 win over the Buccaneers.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes was minimally involved once again Sunday, although his final line was still an improvement over his catchless afternoon in Week 5 versus the Bengals. The 29-year-old has been unable to parlay his impressive size and downfield speed into any meaningful production, a disappointment considering he'd logged 11 touchdown receptions and six catches of over 20 yards in his last three Raiders seasons coming into 2017. Moreover, the just-signed Deonte Thompson's four-catch, 107-yard explosion Sunday likely serves to paint Holmes' lack of production to date in an even harsher light.

Holmes, who started Sunday's Week 5 contest in place of an injured Jordan Matthews, failed to catch his only target.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes played 31 snaps (44 percent), which put him fourth among a banged-up wideout group, a pretty bad development considering two of the guys that saw more action -- Brandon Tate and Kaelin Clay -- are typically special teams players. Holmes does have two TD catches on the season and remains a decent red-zone threat, but the fact that he's caught no more than two passes in any game while still in single digits on targets (9) through five games should keep him off your roster.

With Jordan Matthews (thumb) out indefinitely, Holmes likely will join Zay Jones in the starting lineup for Sunday's game in Cincinnati, ESPN.com's Mike Rodak reports.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes has just six catches for 35 yards on eight targets this season, but he's accounted for two of Tyrod Taylor's touchdown passes. While the Buffalo passing game still figures to run through Charles Clay and LeSean Mccoy, the 6-foot-4 Holmes could emerge as a legitimate deep threat and red-zone weapon on limited volume.

Holmes caught both of his targets for six yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
The touchdown was a fluke, as it actually tipped off rookie Zay Jones and took a fortuitous bounce into Holmes' veteran hands. Those using him in deep leagues will take it, but are also realizing he's a non-starting option for a bad passing team and there are likely to be several weeks with empty production. Holmes saw the field for 34 percent of the offensive snaps Sunday.

Holmes (arm) is not listed on the initial injury report for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes was removed from Sunday's 9-6 loss to the Panthers with an arm/shoulder injury, but it apparently isn't anything that warrants concern moving forward. Serving as Buffalo's No. 3 wideout, he's caught three passes for 19 yards and a touchdown on five targets while logging 73 offensive snaps through two weeks. A nightmare matchup with the 'No Fly Zone' secondary won't help matters.

Holmes left Sunday's game against the Panthers with what appears to be an arm or shoulder injury and is questionable to return, Mike Rodak of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes suffered this injury while covering a Buffalo punt. The 29-year-old receiver was targeted three times before leaving Sunday's game, making one reception for nine yards. Kaelin Clay is expected to play as the No. 3 receiver until Holmes can return.

Holmes caught his only target during Sunday's win over the Jets, a one-yard score from Tyrod Taylor.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes, as expected, served as the third receiver and only saw 51 percent of the offensive snaps. He's not worth owning under that job description unless he can prove to be the team's No. 1 red-zone threat, something that would require much more convincing than one short touchdown.

Holmes made the final 53-man roster and appears to be the No. 3 receiver heading into the regular season.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes always seemed a better bet to make the team than to get cut, but he was also a frequent disappointment in the preseason and there was some talk he could end up being a mild surprise casualty. The veteran ended up making the team, where he's seemingly in much better standing than just a few days ago with both Rod Streater and Philly Brown being shown the door.

Holmes didn't practice Sunday due to neck spasms, Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes earned the most offensive snaps (47) among Bills skill-position players Saturday, yet he only gathered in one of five targets for nine yards. The performance was disappointing, to say the least, with No. 1 wideout Jordan Matthews (chest) out of commission, but the loss of starting QB Tyrod Taylor to a concussion may have played a role. Now with a neck injury in tow, the team will likely exercise caution with Holmes with the regular season in sight, allowing veteran wideouts like Brandon Tate and Philly Brown a chance to stake claims to roster spots Thursday versus the Lions.

Holmes has two catches for 11 yards through two preseason games.
EDGE Analysis
This follows what was said to be a disappointing training camp, where Holmes suffered from the drops and failed to stand out in most practices. Things are breaking his way in terms of competition for playing time, as Sammy Watkins got traded, Anquan Boldin retired, and Rod Streater (toe) is week-to-week, but unless Holmes gets going he could get bumped out of a starting spot by Streater or Philly Brown. Jordan Matthews and rookie Zay Jones look like the two locks to sit atop the Week 1 depth chart.
