Holmes (hip) was limited during Wednesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
This represents the first instance Holmes has showed up on the injury report all season. Fortunately, the hip injury doesn't appear too severe. Holmes should be good to go for this weekend's matchup against the Bucs.

Holmes made an eight-yard reception in Sunday's win over the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
The catch brings Holmes' season total to just two, though one was a touchdown. The Raiders have, in recent seasons, been a team that concentrates targets to a select few - primarily Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree. Seth Roberts and Clive Warford have since made a dent in that stronghold, but Holmes hasn't been as fortunate with just five looks in three games.

Holmes caught a six-yard touchdown for his only reception during Sunday's loss to the Falcons.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes saw just three targets throughout the contest, but made his only reception count as he found the end zone for the first time this season. He was only on the field for 14 offensive snaps, while No. 3 receiver Seth Roberts earned 51. More of the same is expected for Week 3's tilt against the Titans.

Holmes was held catchless on two targets in Thursday's preseason game against the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
Meanwhile, No. 3 wideout Seth Roberts caught four passes for 50 yards on six targets, further cementing himself in the role he held for most of last season. Holmes will likely be the No. 4 or 5 receiver, posing an occasional deep threat to opposing defenses.

The Raiders and Holmes have agreed to a one-year contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes has been a bit receiver in the Raiders' passing attack the past three season, corralling 86 of 183 passes for 1,325 yards and nine touchdowns in 42 games. Despite a less-than-desirable 47% catch rate, he's brings a big-play dimension to the table for quarterback Derek Carr to utilize, as evidenced by 15.4 YPC.

Holmes caught two of his eight targets for 17 yards in Sunday's loss to the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes received the third most targets on the team, but he only hauled in two of them on a day where Derek Carr struggled against the Packers' defense. Carr completed less than 50-percent of his passes and he missed Holmes on multiple occasions. Holmes has been the No.4 option at the wide receiver position, but that could change with the injury to Seth Roberts.

Holmes caught one of his two targets for 34 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes hauled in a 34-yard score on Sunday which turned out to be his only catch on the day. The fourth-year wide receiver hasn't caught more than three passes in any game this season but somehow still has four touchdown receptions. It seems as if Derek Carr really likes him in three wide receiver sets near the red zone, but he still doesn't hold much fantasy value based on the amount of targets he gets on a weekly basis. It's impossible to predict how many looks he'll get moving forward, unless one of the top two receivers were to sustain an injury.

Holmes hauled in three of his four targets for 50 yards in Sunday's Week 2 matchup against the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes played just 14 snaps on the day but he made the most out of them, averaging 16.7 yards per catch. Although this was a decent fantasy performance, there were three other receivers on the team that got a substantial amount of snaps in comparison to his 14. This performance could lead to more time moving forward, but Holmes is still considered a very low-end fantasy option at wide receiver, even in the deepest of leagues.

Holmes (hand) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes is out there Sunday if you need him, but with Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree set to serve as the Raiders' top two wideouts out of the gate, and Rod Streater also in the mix, Holmes represents a speculative fantasy play.

Holmes (hand) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
After missing time with a fractured hand, Holmes is on track to suit up Sunday against the Bengals. With Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree set to serve as the Raiders' top two wideouts out of the gate, and Rod Streater also on hand, Holmes remains a speculative fantasy play in the team's season opener.
