Holmes was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes only practiced on a limited basis Wednesday, but was able to shake that tag and log a full practice Thursday. As evidenced by this news, all signs point to Holmes suiting up in Week 10. The 30-year-old hasn't made a big impact on offense thus far, so it's possible he'll still be limited to a depth role in the passing game to go along with special-teams work.

Holmes was limited during Wednesday's practice session due to a neck injury, the Bills' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes hasn't totaled more than 45 yards in any game this season nor has he found his way into the end zone, so while he'll probably play in this week's game against the Jets, his impact is limited to a depth role in the passing game and special teams work.

Holmes caught two of three targets for 45 yards during Monday's 25-6 loss to the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the modest production, Monday was actually Holmes' best game of the season. The lanky veteran has been solid downfield, four of his 10 receptions this season going for at least 20 yards -- including two on Monday -- but ineffective quarterback play has limited Buffalo's offense. With Nathan Peterman -- who has been intercepted on over 11 percent of his career pass attempts -- looking like the potential starter Sunday against a tough Chicago pass defense, don't expect much out of Holmes.

Holmes caught one of two targets for 13 yards during Sunday's 37-5 loss to the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes has not caught multiple passes in a game since Week 4 and is still waiting to top 30 yards in a game or find the end zone. The Patriots' bottom-10 pass defense looks to be a potential cure Sunday, but believing that would require you to look beyond Buffalo's carousel of horrors at quarterback. Derek Anderson, who turned the ball over four times against Indianapolis in his Bills debut, is penciled in to start once again.

Holmes caught two of three targets for eight yards during Sunday's 22-0 loss to Green Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes has been targeted 10 times during Josh Allen's three starts, but has just five catches and 37 yards to show for them. The original goal was to let Allen sit and prepare for the role of franchise quarterback. Now that he's been thrust into the position of learning on the fly, growing pains are likely to follow both for him and his receivers. Though Buffalo next takes on a middle-of-the-road Titans pass defense in Week 5, Holmes is unlikely to see the volume of targets necessary to produce in what is currently an inefficient pass offense.

Holmes was targeted four times during Sunday's loss to the Chargers but did not catch a pass.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran has just one catch for 14 yards through two games. Holmes essentially served as the third wideout Sunday, seeing 58 percent of the offensive snaps with the Bills only using four active receivers. His height and athleticism will get him into the end zone occasionally -- he's had three or more scores each of the last four seasons -- but Holmes remains an unappealing fantasy option in an unappealing offense.

Holmes (quadriceps) was seen practicing in full pads Sunday, Joe Buscaglia of WKBW.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Holmes has been sidelined during practice since Thursday while nursing a quadriceps injury, but coach Sean McDermott never expressed much concern regarding the wideout's health. Holmes is expected to play a depth role in the Bills' receiving corps this season.

Holmes was absent from Thursday's practice due to a quadriceps injury, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.
EDGE Analysis
There haven't been any prior reports that Holmes is dealing with a particularly worrisome injury, so the Bills may just be exercising caution with a veteran in the early days of training camp. Holmes is expected to return to the practice field within a few days and continue to stake his claim to a depth role in the Bills' passing attack this season.

Holmes (neck) participated with the first-team offense at mandatory minicamp this week, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
During preseason 2017, Holmes endured neck spasms in the latter stages but didn't miss time until the stretch run of the campaign. Before his placement on injured reserve Dec. 26 due to a "stiff" neck, he only corralled one of four targets while averaging 17.3 offensive snaps per game across his final six appearances. Even so, Holmes' season-ending stat line of 13-120-3 on 23 targets was uninspiring, to say the least. Beyond Kelvin Benjamin, Zay Jones and Jeremy Kerley are better bets than Holmes to earn consistent reps in 2018, when the Bills likely will be trotting out AJ McCarron under center for the bulk of the year.

The Bills placed Holmes (neck) on injured reserve Tuesday, Joe Buscaglia of WKBW.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It looks like the neck soreness that sidelined Holmes for Sunday's 37-16 loss to the Patriots was set to keep him sidelined for the season finale against the Dolphins, so the Bills decided to shut the veteran wideout down. With 12 receptions for 113 yards and three scores over the Bills' first eight games, Holmes held a key complementary role in first half of the season, but was largely phased out of the offense over the past two months. Over his past six outings before the injury, Holmes was targeted just four times, catching one ball for seven yards.
