Tim Duncan won't play on Sunday, and Boris Diaw will take his place in the starting lineup. The Thunder lost to the Lakers on Sunday afternoon, giving the Spurs a full one-game lead for the top seed in the West, and Gregg Popovich is taking up every inch of slack he can get. Expect Duncan to play on Monday, then sit out one of the Spurs' final games on Wednesday/Thursday.

Tim Duncan (rest) will be held out of Wednesday night's game against the Kings. The writing was on the wall for this one, as Duncan played 35 minutes on Tuesday and this marks the Spurs third game in three nights. Boris Diaw will draw the start in Duncan's place.

Tim Duncan hit 9-of-14 shots and finished with 19 points, eight rebounds and zero blocks in 35 minutes on Tuesday. The 35 minutes are a concern as the Spurs play their third game in three nights on Wednesday at Sacramento. Whether Duncan will play in that one is a big question, so watch for updates on Wednesday, although we probably won't have an answer just before game time.

Tim Duncan and the rest of the Spurs are ready and available against the Lakers on Tuesday. Gregg Popovich has been playing all 13 players heavy minutes, meaning none of them are posting monster fantasy numbers. We'll have to see if the same holds true tonight against the Lakers, as the Spurs attempt to slip past the Thunder for the No. seed in the West.

Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili were reported out for Monday's game by Warriors beat writer Marcus Thompson, but Warriors PR handed out a lineup sheet with Parker and Duncan starting and Spurs beat writers have everybody available for the game. Thompson has since retracted and all three are available. How much they play against a Warriors squad starting four rookies and Dorell Wright is a whole other story. Owners using any Spurs players are doing so at their own risks, but are advised to partake in any superstitious activity that they see fit.

Tim Duncan got hot early and finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds and zero blocks in 24 minutes on Saturday. Manu Ginobili had seven points in 21 minutes, and Tony Parker added 14 points, four rebounds and five assists in 21 minutes for the Spurs. They were up 35-13 after the first quarter, so Gregg Popovich was comfortable limiting their minutes, yet again. The Spurs have five games next week and are only a game back of OKC for the No. 1 seed in the West, but that's still not a guarantee that he'll give the Big 3 heavy minutes. Start them at your own risk, and beware that they go back-to-back on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Sunday and Monday, and then again on Wednesday and Thursday to finish up the season. What a mess.

Tim Duncan (rest) did not play on Monday against the Jazz. Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili didn't make the trip to Utah, and now set their sights on the Lakers for Wednesday's game. As you know, the rest of the season will be a roller coaster for owners of the Spurs' Big Three.

Coach Gregg Popovich said that he expects all of his "major contributors" to play on Friday against the Hornets. We're taking this with a grain of salt because it's Pop and also because they're playing the Hornets, but at least we're fairly sure there won't be any DNPs tonight. The report went on to say that some of these 'contributors' could miss time during the home-and-home series against the Jazz on Sunday and Monday, because the Lakers are on the docket on Wednesday.

Tim Duncan had 10 points, 16 rebounds, a steal and three blocks as the Spurs held on to beat the Celtics by a point on Wednesday. The Spurs have won nine straight games and are off until Friday, when Duncan and the old guys should play again. But after that, the Spurs go on Sunday & Monday, Wednesday & Thursday, Saturday, and then Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. Expect Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili to all get at least one night off at some point during that stretch.

Tim Duncan, who was held out of Sunday's game for being "old," had 26 points, 11 rebounds and zero blocks on 11-of-16 shooting in Tuesday's win. "Honestly, I do feel better (when rested)," he said after the game. "I don't want to say so, because Pop's going to start resting me more" was Duncan's classic quote after the game. The Spurs go again on Wednesday, leaving Duncan a bit of a question mark, and the Spurs still have six sets of back-to-backs in April. Buckle your seatbelt if you own Duncan.
