Gobert rolled his ankle in the fourth quarter against the Cavaliers and briefly left the game before returning a few minutes later. While he did not appear to be visibly hampered at the time, the ankle likely swelled up overnight, and the Jazz certainly won't take any chances with their franchise center. Word on Gobert's status for the matchup with Miami likely won't come until after shootaround Thursday morning.

"I think I should be good to go, if not tomorrow, in a few days," Gobert said after the game. "Nothing broken, nothing bad, so just a basketball sprained ankle."

He put up 15 points with seven rebounds and five assists in 33 minutes before leaving Tuesday, and was seen jogging in the tunnel trying to get ready to come back in the game. Fortunately it does not sound like Gobert will be out for long, and he should be a game-time decision Thursday.

Gobert got posterized by LeBron James in the first quarter, but ultimately turned in another nice stat line. Unfortunately it didn't include a single block, which is the first time all season Gobert failed to send a shot back. He had 24 blocks over his first six games of the season.

Gobert pitched in eight points (2-8 FG, 4-10 FT), 16 rebounds, two assists and three blocks in a dominant performance over 35 minutes during Thursday's 96-84 victory over the Nuggets.

EDGE Analysis

The Stifle Tower had a plum matchup versus the vulnerable Nuggets frontcourt and did not disappoint, posting his second-highest rebound total of the young season. With teammate Derrick Favors ailing with the flu over the last two games and playing limited minutes as a result, Gobert has stepped his already-superior rim-protection game by tallying 25 boards and seven blocks over that span. While he's yet to break into double-digits with his scoring, Gobert is still rewarding fantasy owners with an outstanding average of 13 rebounds and 3.6 blocks per game so far this season.

Gobert scored nine points (3-5 FG, 3-4 FT) with 17 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 31 minutes during Saturday's win over the Pacers.

EDGE Analysis

He's pulled down double-digit rebounds in all three games for the Jazz so far, and Gobert is now averaging 7.7 points, 13.3 boards and 3.7 blocks. If you can live with his lack of offense, Gobert should provide you with big rebound and block numbers this season.

Gobert scored eight points (3-6 FG, 2-2 FT) with 11 rebounds, six blocks and two assists in 32 minutes during Friday's win over the 76ers.

EDGE Analysis

That's 23 boards and nine blocks through two games for the French Rejection, and Gobert figures to be an imposing defensive presence for the Jazz this season.

Gobert amassed 14 points (6-7 FG, 2-7 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks in a preseason win over Denver on Thursday.

EDGE Analysis

Gobert has been struggling mightily this preseason, but this is definitely a promising sign for fantasy owners. The Frenchman said that the Euro basketball over the Summer has slowed him down a bit and that could be a major concern, considering the grueling 82-game NBA schedule hasn't even started yet. The big man should still have no problem providing elite rebounding and blocking numbers, but his fatigue is definitely worth keeping an eye on for the first few weeks of the season.

Gobert struggled on Tuesday, collecting five points (2-3 FG, 1-4 FT), four rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks in a loss to Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

EDGE Analysis

Gobert continues to struggle this preseason, as he had a dreadful -27 in the plus-minus category on Tuesday. The scoring was never expected to be huge from Gobert, but the lack of rebounds and blocked shots are a concern. With that said, he's too talented of a player and has almost no competition for center minutes, so he should be fine.

Gobert has enjoyed a healthy preseason and simply missed one game to rest. The Jazz will use their typical starting lineup Tuesday night.
