Ray Allen scored 15 points on 4-of-9 shooting (including three treys) with six rebounds, six assists, and one steal in 28 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Suns. The Heat blew the Suns out of the water so it makes sense that Allen would join the party, and aside from a stinker on Friday he has been very good to owners. Hopefully you didn't knock him down cheat sheets too far, as we know we might have undervalued him heading into this season.

Ray Allen played through a bruised right knee on Saturday, scoring 23 points on 8-of-12 shooting, including a 6-of-10 mark from downtown. Allen even sealed the win for Miami with a four-point play. We mentioned that he tweaked an ankle on Friday, but apparently it was his knee -- either way, Miami's resident sniper is locked and loaded for the upcoming week. He played 29 minutes tonight, adding five rebounds, two steals and one block.

Ray Allen tweaked his ankle early in Friday's contest, but stayed in the game and finished with five points, two rebounds, and three assists in 27 minutes. Allen hit 2-of-5 shots from the field (1-of-3 from deep) and these are the types of nights he could have in a bench role with or without the ankle situation, but we'd tend to think the ankle had something to do with this result, regardless. Don't panic over the one outing, as Allen should be able to hold late round value coming off the bench with a near-elite amount of threes this season.

Ray Allen hit 5-of-7 shots and 7-of-8 free throws on his way to 19 points, two rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers in Tuesday's win. Allen was great against his former team tonight and is going to see a lot of open looks from downtown in Miami. If he wasn't drafted in your league and you need threes, give him a look.

Ray Allen scored 13 and knocked down two triples on 4-of-8 shooting Wednesday. Allen continues to improve his shooting as the preseason moves forward, a key point for both the Heat and fantasy owners. The former Celtic should get lots of open looks from beyond the arc this year and is worth at least a late-round pick.

Ray Allen scored 15 points off the bench on 6-of-9 shooting to go with four rebounds, three assists and five turnovers. The turnovers are unwelcome, but Allen shot the ball the best he has in weeks while playing 26 minutes. Fantasy owners will have to deal with Allen's nagging ankle injury all season, but he should still have late-round value to bolster the three-point category.

Ray Allen admitted that he's dealing with soreness in his surgically-repaired ankle daily. "I still deal with soreness in my ankle that I work through every day," Allen said. This is concerning considering Mr. Shuttlesworth underwent offseason surgery, and it's not the first time he's said that the ankle will be an issue all year. He's been dealing with "discomfort in the ankle throughout the preseason," and although he hasn't missed any time, this is going to be something owners will have to monitor throughout the season.

The Heat want to use Ray Allen in a variety of offensive situations, not strictly as a 3-point shooter. Ray said he "could never convince [Doc Rivers] to allow me to go down in the post," but the Heat sound ready to deploy him down low. We're not expecting a post-game renaissance from a 37-year-old SG on a stacked offensive squad, but the concept has merit. "When [opposing teams] want a guy to chase me they bring a small guy that's quick," Allen said. "So you roll to your next stunt and you post them and get them out of the game ... You put the other team in so many complicated situations that it forces their defenses to play more uncomfortable."

Ray Allen hit just 3-of-11 shots in Thursday's preseason win over the Pistons, scoring seven points with five rebounds, three steals, and a block in 22 minutes off the bench. The only thing that matters for Allen is his ankle, as the 3-point attempts will be there along with a substantial role as long as he is healthy. We didn't see any problems with the ankle tonight, and we expect him to be a late-round value when everything is tallied up.

Ray Allen came off the bench in Thursday's win over the Clippers, hitting 5-of-11 shots and 4-of-8 3-pointers in 26 minutes. Allen didn't do much besides knocking down the 3-pointers, and we're guessing this is going to be a standard night for him once the regular season starts. If you find yourself in need of 3-pointers in the later part of your draft, Allen is going to hit a lot of them this season. Just don't expect him to contribute in too many other areas.
