Mike Woodson was pleasantly surprised by Rasheed Wallace's conditioning on Saturday, but he hasn't committed to playing Sheed in Thursday's season opener. "I thought in the scrimmage he looked good," Woodson said. "He got up and down the floor, made some shots and from a defensive standpoint, he's great because he communicates." Sheed gives the Knicks tough defense, leadership and stretch 3-point shooting off the bench, but he's not worth owning in average leagues.

Rasheed Wallace is expected to practice in full fashion on Friday for the first time since joining the Knicks. Wallace is not only expected to practice, but also to take part in a scrimmage as well. "On Friday it will be time to get him some action in terms of banging around a little bit and see where he goes from there," said Mike Woodson. He'll be reevaluated after Friday to determine his readiness for the season.

Rasheed Wallace hopes to scrimmage by Friday after improving his conditioning "tremendously." "When I first came in, I was in good shape, but I wasn't in basketball shape," he said. Wallace also admitted that he's feeling pressure to get on the court with the team battling injuries in the frontcourt, but the final week of training camp should tell us exactly how close he is to providing any kind of value to his new team in the regular season.

Rasheed Wallace finally practiced with the Knicks on Tuesday. It's his first practice since being signed. Sheed has focused on conditioning to date, but now he's being integrated with the team. It's good timing considering the uncertain status of Marcus Camby (calf) for the opener and Amare Stoudemire (knee) also injured, but we can't imagine he'll be asked to play significant minutes at any point.

Rasheed Wallace, who is still getting into shape, will be evaluated by the Knicks on Tuesday. The evaluation will be to determine whether or not Sheed can finally begin to practice. The most alarming takeaway here is that Mike Woodson said that Wallace may be closer to playing than Marcus Camby, who is still dealing with his calf injury.

Rasheed Wallace has not been cleared to begin practicing. Wallace's conditioning simply isn't where it needs to be, and it's hardly a shock to hear that. "When the training staff comes to me and they think he's conditioned enough to run up and down and play then we'll evaluate him then," Mike Woodson said. The goal is for Sheed to be ready for the regular season opener, but he's running out of time.

Rasheed Wallace (conditioning) is still not practicing. There was a brief thought that Wallace could scrimmage on Monday, but that didn't happen as he continues to work himself into shape. Even if he makes the final roster, Sheed has been out of the league for two years and has age working against him.

Rasheed Wallace could scrimmage with the Knicks for the first time on Monday. Wallace hasn't done much since he officially signed in New York, and his conditioning remains a major question mark with the season a little more than two weeks away. Sheed will be worked in at an incredibly slow pace and is not a player fantasy owners should be considering under any circumstance.

Rasheed Wallace didn't travel with the Knicks to Washington on Wednesday, instead staying in New York to work on his conditioning. Sheed would only get a few minutes of game-speed competition anyway, and the Knicks will work him into the mix very slowly as the season begins. As things stand, he's behind fellow veteran reserves Marcus Camby and Kurt Thomas on the depth chart.

Rasheed Wallace is still not scrimmaging with the Knicks on Monday. He was seen working out with boxing gloves on and no one seems to know why Sheed's not playing with the team. It's possible that he's simply not in good enough shape to take the court, or the Knicks have a mystery reason for holding him out. Chances are he'll make the team, but Mike Woodson hasn't even guaranteed that, so plan on ignoring him this season in fantasy.
