Patrick Patterson (foot) is unlikely to play this week, but he has "stepped up his on-court rehab." Patterson's agent said that his client would be out for another week or two on December 21, so we're pegging his return for right around the first week of 2013. When he does return, Marcus Morris is expected to return to his usual reserve role.

Patrick Patterson will miss another two weeks to rest and rehab his injured right foot, according to his agent. While this provides more detail than "out indefinitely," we're taking it with a grain of salt. Agents usually have their own motivation for releasing news so we'll wait until we hear it from the team to change his official timeline. Meanwhile, Marcus Morris is averaging 15.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes per game since Patterson was sidelined and is worth a short-term add.

Patrick Patterson has been diagnosed with a bone bruise in his right foot, and his return date is uncertain. Patterson had an MRI on Saturday and he "will be out while further testing is conducted and a medical course of action is determined." It sounds like he's been playing through the injury for a while, which could explain his muted production of late, and a bruised foot is an injury that typically won't heal without rest. His absence should shift minutes to Marcus Morris and Greg Smith, and Terrence Jones is also being recalled from the D-League to address the Rockets' sudden lack of depth.

Patrick Patterson struggled on Friday against the Celtics, scoring nine points on 4-of-8 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds and one assist in 25 minutes. Patterson did not record a steal or block, and he has been struggling to maintain value in 12-14 team formats over the past two weeks. He has some upside as a younger player whose game may still be expanding, and he is still a late round value on the year, but he shouldn't be considered a must-own player due to his inconsistency.

Patrick Patterson had 13 points, four rebounds, three assists, three blocks and a 3-pointer in 32 minutes of Wednesday's win. Patterson's numbers have tailed off lately, but he played 33 minutes tonight. He's averaging just 10 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks over his last five games, meaning he is no longer a must-start player. However, if he keeps getting 30-plus minutes, he should get hot again at some point.

Patrick Patterson scored just eight points and grabbed just two rebounds in 21 minutes against the Spurs on Monday. The Rockets went with a smaller lineup and went up and down the floor for most of the game. Houston leads the NBA in pace, but Patterson isn't as slow as his 235-pound frame suggests. Patterson has cooled off a little, but we'd still give him some leash in most circumstances.

Patrick Patterson scored 10 points on 5-of-14 shooting (no threes) with five rebounds, five assists, one steal, and one block on Friday against the Spurs. Patterson has moved into the late mid-rounds value-wise after a low-end start, and he should be owned in all formats.

The Rockets scored 124 points to defeat the visiting Jazz on Saturday, as Patrick Patterson pitched in 20 points on 8-of-17 shooting, with two 3-pointers, seven rebounds and three blocks. Patterson has been awesome lately, scoring 20+ points in four of the past five games, and he needs to be in all active fantasy lineups. "Our offense is getting better because we're moving the ball better," said acting coach Kelvin Sampson. "We're having more pass-pass combinations where we're attacking the paint with the dribble, drawing two guys, hitting the open guy, then that guy is making the extra pass."

Patrick Patterson hit 11-of-18 shots and two 3-pointers for a season-high 27 points to go along with six rebounds and zero blocks. Patterson is hot, notching a season high in the second straight game and hitting double figures in his seventh straight. The 3-pointers were a bonus and while he should be owned in all leagues while he's hot, don't expect blocks from the power forward, as he has just three of them over his last seven games.
