Smart registered 16 points (6-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists and two steals across 27 minutes in Saturday's 96-90 victory over the Heat.
EDGE Analysis
After not playing consecutive games earlier in the week, Smart has now played 27 minutes in back-to-back games to close out the week. While his first game back wasn't the most productive, Smart provided more offense off the bench Saturday than most of the starters provided. The ankle ailment seems to be a thing of the past and Brad Stevens should deploy him more often in the coming games, with the next one being Monday against the Spurs.

Smart (ankle) will play in Thursday's game against the Bucks, but will come off the bench Brian Robb of BostonSportsJournal.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart has missed the last two games while nursing an ankle injury and he'll be eased back into the swing of things off the bench Thursday. Coach Brad Stevens indicated that Smart will be likely be limited to around 4-to-5 minutes per quarter, so it appears his playing time may max out around 20 minutes if everything feels good. That likely makes him someone to avoid for now in terms of his fantasy value, though he should be back to a full workload at some point over the next few games.

Smart (ankle) will participate in shootaround but is questionable to play in Thursday's game against the Bucks, A. Sherrod Blakely of NBC Sports Boston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart has missed the last two games as he continues to nurse injuries to both his ankles, but the fact that he is participating in Thursday morning's shootaround is an encouraging sign for his status against the Bucks. Expect Smart to test out his ankles once again in pregame warmups before a final decision is made Thursday night.

Smart (ankle) is questionable to play Tuesday against the Knicks.
EDGE Analysis
Smart injured his ankle Wednesday after colliding with Jaylen Brown against the Bucks and he wasn't able to play Friday against the Sixers. If the 23-year-old doesn't play Tuesday, Terry Rozier will likely receive increased minutes since he played 30 minutes against Philadelphia.

Smart (ankle) did not participate in practice Monday and remains day-to-day, Chris Forsberg of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart was held out of Friday's win over the Sixers, and he'll likely remain out Tuesday against the Knicks. As long as that's the case, Terry Rozier will pick up increased minutes in the backcourt, as will Jabari Bird and Shane Larkin.

Smart (ankles) was not on the court at Saturday's practice, Scott Souza of the Providence Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart, who was held out of Friday's win over the Sixers, was not on the floor for the portion of practice open to the media, suggesting that he's still bothered by soreness in both ankles. The good news for the Celtics is they don't play again until Tuesday against New York, so Smart will have two more full days to recuperate. Consider the guard firmly questionable to play at this point.

Smart (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the 76ers, Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart's absence doesn't come as a shock, as the guard was considered doubtful to play Friday morning after he missed shootaround. Coach Brad Stevens has elected to go with a bigger starting lineup in Smart's absence, starting Aron Baynes at center, but Terry Rozier should see some extended minutes off the bench still. Smart's next opportunity to play will be Tuesday's game against the Knicks.

Head coach Brad Stevens said Smart (ankle) is unlikely to play in Friday's game against the 76ers.
EDGE Analysis
The severity of Smart's injury is currently unknown, but with the Celtics playing their third game this week already, holding him out of Friday's contest isn't too much of a surprise. In Smart's absence, Terry Rozier will likely see extended minutes off the bench, with rookie Semi Ojeleye also potentially seeing added minutes Friday. Smart's next opportunity to return won't be until Tuesday, so he'll have plenty of time to nurse the injury.

Smart is questionable to play in Friday's game against the 76ers due to an ankle injury, Jay King of MassLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart injured his ankle after a collision with teammate Jaylen Brown in Wednesday's game against the Bucks. It's the Celtics' third game in four nights, so it wouldn't be too surprising to see Smart held out as a precautionary measure. Expect him to be a game-time decision for Friday's contest in Philadelphia.
