Still, he has struggled with his new team, and this historically bad performance is not a good sign heading into Game 2 against the Pacers on Tuesday.

Kuzma used the opportunity to deliver an incredibly efficient scoring effort, with the five made three-pointers tying his season high. Over eight games in April, Kuzma's averaging 14.1 points, 3.0 boards, 2.3 assists, 2.0 threes and 1.4 combined blocks and steals in 26.6 minutes a contest. That positions him for a key role when Milwaukee begins its playoff run Saturday in Indiana.

Kuzma (ankle) has been cleared to play in Sunday's game against the Pistons, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.

Over his last 16 games, Kuzma is well outside the top-200 in nine-category formats with 14.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.6 steals, 0.5 blocks and 1.5 three-pointers on 45.2 percent from the field and 65.1 percent from the line.

Kuzma closed Thursday's 126-113 win over Philadelphia with 16 points (6-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-6 FT), four rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal across 32 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Kuzma struggled from the free-throw line, but other than that, it's hard to find any wrinkles in his performance, as the Bucks simply rode the hot hand of Giannis Antetokounmpo -- and in a lesser way, Brook Lopez -- to secure the victory. Kuzma at least managed to score in double digits for the 10th consecutive appearance, a stretch in which he's averaging 16.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. He should continue to post decent numbers while enjoying an uptick in his usage rate due to the absence of Damian Lillard (calf) as the Bucks' second-best scoring option.
