The Bucks acquired Kuzma, Patrick Baldwin and a 2025 second-round draft pick from the Wizards on Wednesday in exchange for Khris Middleton, AJ Johnson and a 2028 first-round pick swap, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Kuzma's name had been heavily linked to the Bucks in recent days, and the Wizards were able to work out a deal to send the 29-year-old forward to Milwaukee. He had been in the midst of a down season in Washington, shooting just 42 percent from the field and 28.1 percent from beyond the arc while averaging 15.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.4 three-pointers in 27.7 minutes per contest. In Milwaukee, it's not immediately clear if Kuzma will move into the starting lineup, or if he'll serve as the team's sixth man like Middleton had in recent weeks prior to being traded.

Kuzma racked up 31 points (13-24 FG, 5-10 3Pt), eight rebounds and two assists across 34 minutes during Saturday's 105-103 victory over the Timberwolves.

EDGE Analysis

The 29-year-old forward led the Wizards to their first win since Jan. 1 with a season-best scoring effort, topping the 30 points he piled up last week in Phoenix. Kuzma's five made threes also tied his season best. Kuzma has had a rough campaign overall, but he's showing signs of breaking out with the trade deadline looming -- he's provided 20-plus points in three of the last nine games, averaging 17.1 points, 7.4 boards, 2.7 assists and 2.0 threes during that span.

Kuzma posted 19 points (7-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-8 FT), 10 rebounds and one assist in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 106-82 loss to the Raptors.

EDGE Analysis

After a paltry seven-point outing Monday, the veteran forward regained his form with an efficient double-double in Wednesday's clash with the Raptors. It was his third double-double of what's been a disappointing season thus far. For reference, he had recorded seven double-doubles at this point last season and went into the All-Star break averaging 21.8 points and 6.3 boards, up from 14.3 and 5.7 this year. He'll look to keep building on Wednesday's outing against the Lakers on Thursday.

Kuzma finished Monday's 130-108 loss to Dallas with seven points (3-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 21 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Kuzma had just scored 30 points in his previous outing against the Suns, only to post yet another dud. Needless to say, January has been a month to forget for the forward. In his last 15 appearances, Kuzma shot 41.7 percent from the field and 28.4 percent from beyond the arc.

Kuzma amassed 30 points (12-24 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds and four assists across 34 minutes during Saturday's 119-109 loss to the Suns.

EDGE Analysis

Kuzma posted his second double-double of the season in the loss, but the seventh-year pro's 2024-25 results have largely been a disappointment. His current seasonal averages are well below normal, with a 7.6 PPG decrease in scoring from last season being the most glaring example. It's unclear if the Wizards will make any big moves before the trade deadline, but Kuzma is one of several players mentioned as potential trade options.

Kuzma ended Sunday's 123-100 loss to the Kings with 13 points (3-15 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 6-6 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and one steal in 33 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Kuzma has entrenched himself in a starting role now that his rib injury is in the rearview, but his performances have been a bit inconsistent from a statistical perspective. He's failed to reach the 15-point mark in four of his last six outings, averaging 12.2 points per game and shooting 34.3 percent from the floor in that stretch.

Kuzma closed Saturday's 122-114 loss to the Warriors with 22 points (7-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds and four assists over 31 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Jordan Poole led the way for the Wizards with a 38-point effort, but Kuzma was among the top performers for Washington with an efficient scoring display. The veteran returned to a starting role Jan. 3 following a lengthy absence due to a ribs injury and has been productive, albeit a bit inconsistent. In nine starts since returning to the hardwood, the Kuzma is averaging 14.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 45.6 percent from the floor.

Kuzma racked up 22 points (9-21 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-4 FT), five rebounds, five assists and three steals over 35 minutes during Monday's 120-106 loss to the Timberwolves.

EDGE Analysis

Kuzma delivered a solid bounce-back performance after totaling 11 points on 3-for-18 shooting across his last two outings. The eighth-year forward led the Wizards in scoring Monday, tying Anthony Edwards and Naz Reid for the game-high mark in steals as well. Kuzma also logged just his second game through 21 regular-season appearances with 20-plus points, five or more rebounds and at least five assists, as he stuffed the stat sheet in the losing effort.

Kuzma closed with six points (2-12 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 2-4 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one steal over 30 minutes during Sunday's 136-95 loss to the Thunder.

EDGE Analysis

Kuzma posted his second dud in a row, as he's now scored 11 points over that span on a combined 3-for-18 shooting from the field. The Wizards have lost six games in a row and have a 6-31 record on the season, and it's no secret that Kuzma has been linked with a move elsewhere.

EDGE Analysis

Kuzma exited Tuesday's game against Houston with a calf bruise and didn't return, but he's cleared to play on the second half of Washington's back-to-back Wednesday. Over five games since returning from a rib injury, the star forward has averaged 13.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.6 threes in 23.8 minutes. Kuzma wouldn't figure to have any limitations on his playing time against the 76ers.
