Josh McRoberts stepped into a major role off Orlando's bench on Sunday, scoring seven points with one 3-pointer, 14 rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 33 minutes. Orlando could afford to deploy a small frontcourt against Kevin Garnett and Brandon Bass, and we don't anticipate many more games like this for McBob.

Josh McRoberts started at small forward on Wednesday and had seven points, four rebounds, a steal and a block in an ugly loss to the Timberwolves. McBob is only worth a look in extremely deep leagues, and tonight's line left plenty to be desired.

Josh McRoberts will start at small forward for the Magic on Wednesday, replacing DeQuan Jones. McRoberts is clearly not a small forward, but will play one on TV tonight. And when he gets minutes and an opportunity, he usually comes through. Look for him to play well tonight, but he would have to be locked into a starting role and heavy minutes to be worth picking up while Hedo Turkoglu is out with a broken hand.

Josh McRoberts played 27 minutes off the bench on Friday against the Nuggets, scoring nine points on 4-of-4 shooting with seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block. This is the type of line we see from McBob on a good night, with low-volume but versatile production. As a veteran he was the likely choice to step into Hedo Turkoglu's (broken hand) minutes, but Moe Harkless (hernia surgery) is the favorite to step into the most minutes when he gets healthy. With Gustavo Ayon also out, there's a few different reasons not to go crazy adding McRoberts in 12-14 team formats.

Josh McRoberts returned to action on Tuesday after sitting out two preseason games with a sprained toe, logging 27 minutes with six points, two rebounds, four assists, and a steal. McRoberts hit 3-of-10 shots from the field and we haven't heard anything to suggest that his injury is serious. The Magic are not a very deep team, and by virtue of that he could wiggle his way into some minutes. But until he hear that he will have a semi-significant role, owners can safely ignore him in most formats.

Updating a previous item, Josh McRoberts will reportedly be traded to the Magic as part of the Dwight Howard to Lakers deal. Hoopsworld had previously speculated that the Nuggets would take on McBob's expiring contract, but he'll instead head to Orlando, where he'll offer no fantasy value and serve as an insurance policy. He was likely just included in the deal in order to make the finances work.

Josh McRoberts could be sent to the Nuggets as part of the four-team trade for Dwight Howard, according to Steve Kyler of Hoopsworld. Kyler notes that McRoberts could "possibly" be involved as the return to the Nuggets alongside Andre Iguodala, but the remaining structure of the deal will move forward as reported. Whether or not McRoberts is included really isn't the important takeaway here, and if his expiring deal does head to Denver, he'll function as depth at power forward and offer no fantasy value.

Josh McRoberts said that improving his jump shot is the "biggest thing" he needs to work on this summer. McRoberts, who will make $3.1 million next season, was reasonably effective in a 15-minute role off the Lakers bench. He's unlikely to carve out a bigger role as long as Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol are starting for L.A.

Josh McRoberts started in place of injured Andrew Bynum and had just four points and five rebounds despite playing 27 minutes on Tuesday. Bynum is iffy for Wednesday, but surely you can find a better player on waivers than McBob.

Josh McRoberts (toe), Troy Murphy (gastroenteritis), and Jason Kapono (personal) will all play on Friday against the Cavs. None of them have much value in fantasy leagues, but they could see increased action if the Lakers pull out to a big lead.
