Josh Howard (quad) is listed as day-to-day by the Jazz.
Howard suffered a quad contusion on Tuesday and didn't return, but the veteran will be okay after reporting he felt better on Wednesday. Utah certainly won't rush him to return given his recent injury history, so it wouldn't be surprising if he missed a game or two as a precaution.

Jazz forward Josh Howard left Tuesday's game with a strained left quad and will not return.
Howard's as injury prone as they come and no one should be surprised to see this news. But he was also playing very well and heading toward the starting five in Utah, so this is a bummer in fantasy. Feel free to drop him if you've got your eye on another hot free agent. His absence should mean more run for C.J. Miles.

Josh Howard scored 13 points off the bench on Monday, hitting 3-of-8 shots from the field (7-of-8 from the foul line) with three rebounds, one assist, and a block in 26 minutes.
The Jazz love Howard and keep talking about him being out of shape, but he's already one of their most athletic players. He could start within the next couple of weeks if all goes well (see link), but the cap to his value is really his injury risk. The Jazz will keep his minutes down, but if he ends up starting he'll be worth owning.

Jazz forward Josh Howard has been fined $25,000 for an upgraded Flagrant 2 penalty on Spurs guard James Anderson.
As we reported earlier today, Howard has been playing better and could be starting before long if he can stay healthy.

Josh Howard could be en route to starting at small forward for the Jazz in the near future.
Raja Bell has been terrible starting at small forward, while Howard is coming on. He had 18 points and seven boards on Saturday and if he is ever tabbed to move into the starting five, expect for Bell to be benched and for Gordon Hayward to slide to shooting guard. Howard's not a must-own player, but someone you should keep close tabs on over the next week or so.

Josh Howard says he's nearing 100% health and his conditioning is improving, and thus far he's averaging 11 points in 23 minutes per game for Utah.
Howard has been productive off the Jazz bench and could see his role increase to around 30 minutes per game. He's an injury risk and we're not convinced he can return reliable fantasy value, but keep an eye on him just in case.

Josh Howard came off the Jazz bench and played well Saturday, hitting 6-of-16 shots for 18 points, seven boards, two steals and a block in 26 minutes.
We don't trust Howard, at all. But he's getting minutes and playing well, and could end up getting more minutes than both Raja Bell and C.J. Miles if he keeps it up. He's still not worth owning in most leagues, but it's at least time to put him on your watch list.

Josh Howard led the Jazz bench in minutes with 24 on Friday, scoring eight points on 2-of-6 shooting with two rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
The Jazz are happy with what Howard is providing, which is athleticism and playmaking in small bursts. We think the Jazz are going to keep him in a low-minute role, however, as they try to preserve him over the course of the year. Unless that changes he belongs on the wire.

Josh Howard scored 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting (no threes) with two rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 23 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's blowout loss.
We're not sure if he would have gotten so much run had the score been close, and we've also poo-pooed any idea of Howard having fantasy value this season. If he can continue posting lines like these, he could be on the way to proving us wrong. That said, we're not exactly shivering in our boots knowing his next injury is right around the corner.

Josh Howard hit 3-of-5 shots for eight points and three boards in 20 minutes on Wednesday.
He's not likely to start for the Jazz, but if he can stay healthy, could be a hot waiver-wire pickup. Just keep an eye on him, but be very careful when entrusting him with a starting spot for your team. The next knee injury is probably just around the corner.
