Josh Howard's status for Tuesday's game vs. the Clippers is uncertain, as he's still dealing with a left quad injury.
Howard hurt himself on Jan. 3rd and has been dealing with the pain ever since. He said he tried to warm up for Sunday's game but "it wasn't responding the way I wanted it to." The good news is this doesn't sound like a serious setback, but it's possible he'll take a game or two off to allow the injury to heal completely.

Josh Howard will not play in Sunday's game due to a strained left quad.
This injury has been nagging Howard for a while now and (we're speculating) he may need to rest a few games to let it heal once and for all. He's been solid off Utah's bench this season, averaging 11 points, three rebounds and 1.1 steals per game.

Tyrone Corbin said that he feels comfortable playing Josh Howard 30-35 minutes per night.
Currently averaging 23 minutes per game, Howard played 34 minutes in Utah's overtime loss to the Lakers on Wednesday. Corbin also alluded to the idea that Howard may be a part of the starting lineup at some point, and his stock continues to trend in the upward direction. If you were wavering on whether or not to pick him up, this should be the convincing you need to do so.

Josh Howard hit 6-of-14 shots and two 3-pointers for 18 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal in a tough overtime loss to the Lakers.
He's come off the bench all season and dealt with a quad injury, but is healthy and rolling now. Coach Ty Corbin likes him and Raja Bell has struggled while starting at small forward. All signs point to Howard taking over the job in the near future, and it's time for fantasy owners to move on him. Just beware that based on his history, there's a decent chance that he'll get hurt again at some point in the near future.

Tyrone Corbin praised the play of Josh Howard following Tuesday's win.
"He's been doing a tremendous job," he said. "He's just a treat to have because he gives us such a different look off the bench." Corbin has been very critical of some of his players this year, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Howard take on an even larger role for the team very soon. Owners need to monitor his production as he's a candidate to overtake Raja Bell in the starting lineup.

Josh Howard came off the bench for 17 points, four rebounds, three assists and a steal on 6-of-9 shooting in Tuesday's win over the Cavaliers.
Raja Bell had just six points, and Howard appears to be back on track to take the starting small forward job at some point in the near future. If you have a player to cut, Howard might be worth an add in case he does end up starting for the Jazz soon.

Josh Howard (quad) returned to action on Friday, scoring 13 points on 4-of-7 shooting with three rebounds and two steals in 27 minutes off the bench.
Howard is going to be hard to trust even if he becomes productive due to his injury risk. He'll probably only be worth a pickup if he can take Raja Bell's starting job, which was rumored to be a possibility before he got injured last week.

Josh Howard (quad) is expected to play on Friday against the Grizzlies.
Howard practiced on Thursday and remains on track to play Friday. Owners will want to monitor his playing time with a struggling Raja Bell still inexplicably in the starting lineup. He's averaging 9.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and a steal in 20 minutes per game this season.

Josh Howard (quad) is on the court during practice on Thursday.
Howard was listed as day-to-day after initially sustaining the injury on Tuesday. He won't be rushed back into action, but it doesn't appear as if he'll miss much time if any at all. Keep an eye on him in case he winds up in the starting lineup at some point.
