Updating a previous item, Jeremy Lin (knee) said it is "unlikely" he'll be able to return for the first round of the playoffs. This really isn't a huge surprise considering Lin's surgery, and it seemed rather optimistic that he'd be back in time for the first round of the postseason. Regardless of if and when he does return, Lin will not come back during the regular season and is therefore firmly off the fantasy radar.

Jeremy Lin (knee surgery) is reportedly targeting a return during the first round of the playoffs, though his official timetable has him out until the second round. First the Knicks need to hang onto their one-game lead over the Bucks in the Eastern Conference playoff race, and even then there are no guarantees that Lin will be cleared to return early. For now, Baron Davis and Toney Douglas will continue to hold down the PG spot for New York.

Mike Woodson is hopeful that Jeremy Lin (knee) can return "fairly quickly." The Knicks said that Lin will be out six weeks following the surgery, so Woodson is just remaining hopeful that he'll get his starting point guard back for the postseason. Baron Davis will remain the starter for the remainder of the regular season with the Knicks holding out hope that Lin will return for the playoffs.

Newsday reports that under the rules of the CBA, the most any team can offer Jeremy Lin as a restricted FA would be around $5 million per season. Lin's regular season is over due to knee surgery but there's a chance he could return during the second round of the playoffs, if New York makes it that far. Given his excellent play and the global attention he brought to the Knicks this season, it's very likely that New York will match any offer for Lin.

Jeremy Lin (left knee) needs surgery to repair a small tear in his meniscus, and he will miss approximately six weeks. Iman Shumpert isn't a natural PG but he stands to gain the most from Lin's unfortunate absence -- Baron Davis is limping around the court, and neither Mike Bibby nor Toney Douglas jumps out as a reliable option. Lin's incredible regular season may have ended on a down note, but it will never be forgotten -- in 25 starts he averaged 18.2 points, 1.0 threes, 3.7 rebounds, 7.6 assists, 2.0 steals (and yes, 4.7 turnovers).

Jeremy Lin (left knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game vs. the Cavaliers. We're still waiting for results of Lin's MRI, and in the meantime the Knicks are forced to rely on ailing Baron Davis (leg) as well as Mike Bibby and Toney Douglas. Baron is worth watching, but the fact that he's already limping along makes us even more leery of him.

Jeremy Lin had an MRI done on his injured left knee, but the results are currently unknown. Lin is being called day-to-day, but it is curious that he went out of his way to avoid all media on Friday. Some are speculating that the injury could be more serious than originally thought. Baron Davis will continue to get starts in Lin's place and makes for an interesting play for as long as he can stay healthy. Stay tuned.

Updating a previous item, Jeremy Lin (knee) is targeting a return either Tuesday or Thursday of next week. That would mean he's out for Saturday's game as well. After Saturday, the Knicks don't play again until Tuesday against the Pacers. Lin's owners will have a tough decision ahead next week with the uncertainty surrounding Lin's knee and have to be hopeful that his condition is updated before the start of next week.

Jeremy Lin (knee) has been ruled out again on Friday against the Hawks. Let the Baron Davis party continue. Boom-Dizzle has averaged 12.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists over his last two starts in place of Lin, and he'll once again get the nod on Friday. The Knicks play once again on Saturday, so owners will have to check back for another update on Lin's knee before that time.
