This really isn't a huge surprise considering Lin's surgery, and it seemed rather optimistic that he'd be back in time for the first round of the postseason. Regardless of if and when he does return, Lin will not come back during the regular season and is therefore firmly off the fantasy radar.

Newsday reports that under the rules of the CBA, the most any team can offer Jeremy Lin as a restricted FA would be around $5 million per season. Lin's regular season is over due to knee surgery but there's a chance he could return during the second round of the playoffs, if New York makes it that far. Given his excellent play and the global attention he brought to the Knicks this season, it's very likely that New York will match any offer for Lin.
