Withey signed a contract Thursday with Lavrio B.C. of the Greek Basket League.
EDGE Analysis
A 2013 second-round draft pick, Withey spent the first five seasons of his career in the NBA but has played exclusively overseas since being released by the Mavericks in December 2017. He opened the current campaign with Tofas of the Turkish Basketball Super League before parting ways with the team in December. Withey will continue to stick around in Europe for the rest of the season before perhaps exploring a return stateside in 2019-20 if NBA teams are still interested in him.

Withey was waived by the Mavericks on Tuesday, Earl K. Sneed of the Mavericks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Withey was waived in part to allow the team to sign Kyle Collinsworth to a two-way contract. Withey appeared in just 10 games for Dallas, totaling 39 minutes and producing 15 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks. At 27-years-old, Withey has a chance to sign somewhere else, but hasn't played a huge role anywhere he's been, averaging only 10.0 minutes per game for his career.

Withey has come to terms with the Mavericks on a one-year contract, Shams Charania of The Vertical reports.
EDGE Analysis
Withey spent last season as a member of the Jazz, who renounced his rights in mid-July. He was a deep reserve, posting just 2.9 points and 2.4 boards across 8.5 minutes per contest. While he'll likely play a similar role with the Mavericks, as his skill hasn't warranted him being deployed for more than 12.9 minutes per game in his career, he could see extended run here and there depending on the health of the Dallas centers. Regardless, he should probably be avoided in every fantasy format considering his projected workload and production.

Withey had his rights renounced by the Jazz on Tuesday, Keith Smith of Real GM reports.
EDGE Analysis
Withey was a deep reserve for the Jazz last season, averaging 2.9 points and 2.4 rebounds across 8.5 minutes per game. The Jazz seemingly are not interested in bringing him back for another season, which may be in part due to their selection of Tony Bradley, a center with a 7-foot-5 wingspan with notably good fundamentals, with the 28th pick in this year's draft. Withey has been in the league for four seasons, but has never drawn more than 12.9 minutes per game. While he's not a hot commodity, there's likely a team out there with need for a reserve center that has solid size and some NBA experience -- a bill that Withey fits.

Withey (illness) is expected to play in Friday's game against the Timberwolves.
EDGE Analysis
Withey has put in limited minutes off the bench since Derek Favors was out with knee problems. With Favors now expected to return to the floor Friday, Withey could be reduced to even less minutes off the bench with the possibility of not seeing the floor at all. Regardless, whether Withey plays off the bench or not should not have much of an impact on the team's rotation overall.

Withey is questionable for Friday's game against the Timberwolves due to an illness, Andy Larsen of KSL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Withey is coming off a season-high 10-point performance Tuesday. With forward Derrick Favors also questionable with a knee injury, the Jazz could be facing shortages in their frontcourt against Karl-Anthony Towns and the Timberwolves. Withey is merely a depth option for Utah, but his absence would likely mean more minutes for Rudy Gobert, especially if Favors is unable to go.

Withey contributed 10 points (5-5 FG), three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 13 minutes during Tuesday's 106-87 victory over the Trail Blazers.
EDGE Analysis
Withey continues to produce decently in very limited minutes behind starting center Rudy Gobert, who plays 34.1 minutes per game. Over the past 12 games, Withey has averaged 4.0 points and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 59.4 percent from the field across 9.8 minutes per game. While he's carved out a role for himself within the Jazz rotation, he likely doesn't garner enough minutes to impact the fantasy landscape -- probably only making him valuable in DFS formats if Gobert goes down with injury.

Withey will return to the bench for Monday's game against the Clippers, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Withey drew the spot start on Saturday against the Thunder with Rudy Gobert (knee) sitting out, posting two points (1-5 FG), five rebounds, one assist and two steals across 23 minutes. With Gobert back to full strength and re-entering the starting five, Withey will head back to the bench and could find himself outside the regular rotation completely.

Withey is a late addition to Saturday's starting lineup at center against the Thunder, reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although the team had already confirmed Rudy Gobert as a starter, they opted to sit him out at the last minute. As a result, Withey will draw a rare stating opportunity. He could be an interesting DFS play, but figures to return to a a role outside of the rotation when Gobert returns.

Withey played five minutes in a 88-72 loss to the Clippers on Monday, finishing with no points (0-2 FG), one rebound and one block.
EDGE Analysis
Withey saw only garbage-time minutes with the Clippers rolling to a decisive win, and that's typically been the extent of his opportunities this season. The reserve center has played in only seven of the Jazz's 22 games since the beginning of January, averaging only 4.3 minutes per contest during that span.
