Bacon supplied 10 points (5-7 FG) and four rebounds across 20 minutes in Friday's 90-87 loss to the Celtics.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie continues to be a solid contributor off the bench, with Friday marking his third game in five November contests with double-digit scoring tallies. Bacon has shown a nice shooting touch over that span, posting at least a 40.0 percent success rate in four games. He's also posted between four and seven boards in three of those outings and appears to have carved out a consistent role on the second unit for the time being.

Bacon is expected to return to a bench role for Friday's game against the Celtics, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bacon has started the last three games in place of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (personal), averaging 8.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steal across 25.7 minutes during that span. Coach Steve Clifford has already announced that Kidd-Gilchrist will return to the starting lineup Friday, however, which should send Bacon back to his normal bench role. That means decreased minutes for the rookie second-round pick, which will likely take him off the radar in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Bacon will draw the start for Friday's game against the Spurs.
EDGE Analysis
Bacon will be picking up his fourth start of the season, as Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is sitting out to tend to a personal matter. In his three previous starts, Bacon has averaged 6.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists across 21.4 minutes, so despite the start, he'll be nothing more that a punt-play option for those in need of salary relief in Friday's slate.

Bacon will move to the bench for Wednesday's matchup against the Nuggets.
EDGE Analysis
Bacon has started the first three games of the season with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist sitting out for personal reasons. However, Kidd-Gilchrist will be making his season debut Wednesday, which sends Bacon back to the bench. Kidd-Gilchrist will likely be limited in his first contest, so Bacon could still see a slightly elevated role Wednesday. That being said, after averaging 6.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists across 21.3 minutes to open the season, Bacon should see a decline across the board, which severely restricts his utility in fantasy leagues.

Bacon will start at small forward Monday against the Bucks, Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite his standing as a rookie second-round pick, Bacon hasn't looked out of place in Charlotte's starting lineup for the first two games of the season, averaging 7.0 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from distance in 19.5 minutes per game. It's expected that Bacon will lose out on his starting role on the wing once Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (personal) rejoins the team, but he should at least maintain a decent-sized role with the second unit if his performance warrants it.

Bacon will notch another start Friday against the Hawks, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Nic Batum (elbow) and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (personal) both out again Friday, Bacon will remain in the starting lineup for the second straight game to begin his NBA career. The rookie out of Florida state played 20 minutes in Wednesday's opener against Detroit, finishing with eight points, two assists and two rebounds.

Bacon will draw the start for Wednesday's season opener against the Pistons, Keith Langlois of Pistons.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With both starters Nicolas Batum (elbow) and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (personal) sidelined, the Hornets are scraping the bottom of the barrel for wing depth. Bacon was the 40th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft and wasn't expected to see rotational minutes, but is now being thrust into the role out of necessity. While he may not make a great pickup in most year-long fantasy formats, he certainly makes for a viable DFS flier Wednesday.

Bacon contributed 12 points (4-8 FG, 4-4 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and one steal across 34 minutes during a 108-100 loss to the Celtics on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Bacon received the start with Nicolas Batum (elbow) and Jeremy Lamb (groin) sidelined, and did well with his opportunity. The rookie was perfect from downtown after he hadn't previously hit on a single three-pointer in the preseason. Bacon may get some time in the rotation once the regular season begins, but his role figures to dwindle when Lamb, and especially Batum, are healthy.

Bacon will draw the start at shooting guard for Wednesday's preseason game against the Celtics.
EDGE Analysis
With multiple backcourt and wing players (notably Nicolas Batum) out for an extended period of time, Bacon is a strong candidate to see rotational minutes to begin the upcoming season. We'll get a preview of what he would look like with some starters Wednesday. He was selected with the 40th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft and was not expected to play a large role for the team out of the gate.

Bacon could be included in the Hornets' rotation when the season begins with multiple backcourt players and wings tending to injuries, Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Heading into Wednesday's exhibition against the Celtics, the Hornets count seven players (Nicolas Batum, Michael Carter-Williams, Treveon Graham, Jeremy Lamb, Kemba Walker, Julyan Stone and Marcus Paige) on their injured list, which has paved the way for Bacon, a second-round pick out of Florida State to take on a greater importance than anticipated in the preseason. Through his first three exhibition appearances, Bacon has been an effective complementary piece, averaging 3.5 points (on 50 percent shooting from the field) and 4.5 rebounds in 14.5 minutes per game. At this time, only Batum and Carter-Williams are considered unlikely to be available when the regular season begins, but those absences may be enough for Bacon to carve out some spot minutes with the second unit. Don't expect him to see enough usage to make much of a splash in the fantasy realm, but if Bacon acquits himself well during his time on the court, he could see his opportunities increase as the season unfolds.
