Chiozza (hip) is out Thursday against the Trail Blazers.
EDGE Analysis
Chiozza will miss his first game of the restart Thursday, and it's the last seeding game before the postseason begins. While he's sidelined, Tyler Johnson and Jeremiah Martin should see extra minutes.

Chiozza (hip) is considered questionable for Thursday's game against the Blazers, Greg Logan of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
After exiting Tuesday's game with a tight adductor, Chiozza was held out of practice Wednesday. The Nets indicated that Chiozza will be evaluated Thursday morning before a decision is made on his status for the seeding game finale.

Chiozza departed Tuesday's game against Orlando due to a right adductor and he will not return, Anthony Puccio of Nets Daily reports. After the game, coach Jacque Vaughn told the media that he believes Chiozza will be ready for the postseason.
EDGE Analysis
Chiozza got the start at point guard with Caris LeVert resting, and he played 21 minutes before exiting early in the fourth quarter. He finished with three points (1-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt), five assists, three rebounds and four steals.

Chiozza went for 10 points (4-13 FG, 2-9 3PT) and 10 assists in Tuesday's win over Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't the most efficient afternoon for Chiozza, but he contributed to a three-point barrage that saw the Nets go 21-of-57 from beyond the arc in the improbable victory. Chiozza played a team-high 31 minutes, but he'll likely sink back into a more reduced role once Caris LeVert and Joe Harris are back in the lineup.

Chiozza chipped in 14 points (6-8 FG, 2-2 3Pt), six assists, two rebounds and one steal in 21 minutes during Sunday's 118-110 win over the Wizards.
EDGE Analysis
Chiozza came off the bench, with Tyler Johnson stepping into a starting role. Nevertheless, it was Chiozza who put together the more impressive stat line while Johnson went scoreless in 29 minutes. Regardless of Chiozza's role, he seems likely to continue earning decent time given the team's lack of options at point guard.

Chiozza will draw his first NBA start during Friday's restart opener against the Magic, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Chiozza will be the Nets' starting point guard for the restarted season. In the final five games before the hiatus, he averaged 10.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 19.2 minutes.

Chiozza supplied two points (0-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven assists, four steals, three rebounds and one block in 23 minutes during Monday's 112-107 scrimmage loss to the Jazz.
EDGE Analysis
Dating back to his college days, Chiozza has been known as a steady playmaker who can make plays in the pick-and-roll and play with pace. He's not the most reliable scorer, but Chiozza could be an excellent option for fantasy purposes given that he seems primed to hold down the starting point guard gig.

Nets coach Jacque Vaughn said Chiozza was included on the team's top unit as the starting point guard during Sunday's practice, Greg Logan of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Vaughn may not formally name his starting five until shortly before the Nets resume their season July 31 versus the Wizards, but Chiozza looks like the top option on the depth chart with neither Kyrie Irving (shoulder) nor Spencer Dinwiddie (illness) joining the team in Orlando for the NBA restart. Brooklyn signed veteran guards Jamal Crawford and Tyler Johnson to cover for the personnel losses in the backcourt, but both players are expected to handle second-unit roles rather than challenging Chiozza for the starting job. One of two two-way players on the Nets' roster, Chiozza looked good after settling into a rotation spot shortly before the season was suspended in mid-March. Over the Nets' last five games, he averaged 10.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.0 three-pointers and 0.6 steals in 19.2 minutes per contest, though his scoring production came on an unsustainable 55.9 percent shooting from the field and 52.6 percent shooting from downtown.

Chiozza tallied 11 points (4-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt), five assists and one rebound in 17 minutes Tuesday in the Nets' 104-102 win over the Lakers.
EDGE Analysis
The two-way player looks to have secured a regular spot in the Nets' rotation as the backup point guard, even after Brooklyn parted ways with coach Kenny Atkinson. He's received double-digit minutes in five straight games -- including both of the past two with interim boss Jacque Vaughn at the helm -- averaging 10.0 points, 3.2 boards, 2.6 assists and 2.0 triples while shooting 55.9 percent from the field.

Chiozza notched 14 points (5-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 118-79 loss against the Grizzlies.
EDGE Analysis
It was an off night for the Nets as a whole, but Chiozza took advantage of the opportunity to deliver his highest scoring effort of the season while also topping the 20-minute mark for the second straight game. He might become a regular member of the rotation moving forward, but he needs to show more consistency before becoming a reliable fantasy asset.
