Chiozza posted 16 points ( 5-9 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 13 assists, nine rebounds and a steal in the loss Tuesday to Windy City.

The point guard very nearly came away with a triple-double, but it's tough to be too frustrated with his effort given he led the team in assists and rebounds while playing over 40 minutes. A plethora of activity by the Wizards near the trade deadline could wind up yielding minutes at the NBA level for a number of current G League players, but at least for the moment expect Chiozza to continue the status quo with Capital City.

Chiozza finished Monday's win over Grand Rapids with 25 points (7-14 FG, 6-8 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five assists, five rebounds and three steals.

EDGE Analysis

Chiozza led the team in scoring with the likes of Jordan McRae moved up to the Wizards and a host of other players injured, playing a game-high 41 minutes. The diminutive point guard has soaked up minutes for the Go Go all season, but hasn't exactly been a major scorer, averaging just 12.0 points and 6.2 assists despite playing 32.4 minutes per game through 27 contests.

Chiozza tallied 19 points (8-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt), 10 assists, seven rebounds and three steals Wednesday over Austin.

EDGE Analysis

Chiozza has been a prime contributor for the Go-Go, averaging 30.3 minutes across 14 games. That hasn't exactly translated to points, but he's averaging 6.5 assists and 5.1 rebounds which should offset the lack of scoring for fantasy players.

Chiozza was waived by the Wizards on Saturday, Candace Buckner of The Washington Post reports.

EDGE Analysis

Chiozza was unable to do enough to impress the Wizards' coaching staff, and he will not make the final roster. He'll likely turn to the G-League or head overseas.

After a four-year collegiate career at Florida, Chiozza went undrafted in June, but was able to latch on with the Wizards for summer league. In five contests, the six-foot guard averaged 4.8 points, 7.4 assists, 1.6 rebounds and 2.0 steals across 27.9 minutes. He isn't the most explosive scorer, but he's an impressive facilitator and can get it done on the defensive side of the ball despite being a bit undersized. While he'll fight for one of the final roster spots in Washington, it seems more likely he'll open the 2018-19 campaign in the G-League. As a senior at Florida, Chiozza averaged 11.1 points, 6.1 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals, while shooting 34.9 percent from deep.
