Chris Andersen suffered a back injury and will not return to Wednesday's game against the Lakers. He's dealt with back injuries before and the severity or specifics of his stiff back are not yet known. Andersen is coming off a season-high 12 points on Monday, but he's not really worth owning outside of being a blocks specialist in deep leagues. Udonis Haslem will get more minutes while the Birdman is out.

Chris Andersen scored a season-high 12 points with nine boards, two assists and two blocks in 25 minutes during a 121-119 overtime win. It's his eighth game in double-figure scoring and he got to the line six times tonight, making six of those. Andersen doesn't really have much consistency in the frontcourt and won't have much value in fantasy outside of his 1.2 blocks per game.

Chris Andersen returned from a one-game personal absence to score nine points with four rebounds and three blocks in 20 minutes off the bench vs. Minnesota. The Birdman was efficient and got more playing time than usual once Miami took a commanding 16-point lead into the fourth quarter. He remains, as ever, a shot-blocking specialist.

Chris Andersen has rejoined the team after missing Thursday's game. Andersen missed Thursday's matchup with Chicago due to a personal matter. He with the Heat in Minnesota and is expected to suit up for Saturday's game. Minnesota gives up the fourth most blocks per game, so look for Andersen to get more than his average 1.1 blocks.

Chris Anderson will miss Thursday's game against Chicago due to personal reasons and will rejoin the team for Saturday's game in Minnesota. The Birdman isn't much of a fantasy option, but he has been averaging 1.1 blocks in 17.1 minutes per game this season so there will be a void to fill for the Heat frontcount. Michael Beasley and Shane Battier should see increased run on Thursday and both could make for sneaky plays for daily leagues.

Chris Andersen, who has been dealing with a foot injury during the preseason, finished Saturday's exhibition with six points and three rebounds off the bench. The Birdman may not be 100 percent healthy, but he's on pace to play in Miami's season opener. He's been cleared of all pending off-court legal problems and should have a productive season filling the same 15-minute bench role he had last year, which resulted in averages of 4.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.0 blocks.

Chris Andersen is dealing with a foot injury this preseason. He had a left foot injury back in February 2012, so this is nothing new for him. Andersen's injury is not serious, but it is just another indication of how fragile their center spot is, so having Joel Anthony could help. Anthony, Andersen and Greg Oden are not worth drafting in most leagues.

Chris Andersen played eight minutes in his return from a foot injury and failed to score Thursday. He pulled down three boards and only took one shot, which was a 3-pointer. The Heat are going to need Birdman off the bench with Greg Oden still not ready to return. Andersen is only an option in deep leagues.

Chris Andersen will sit out Miami's exhibition on Monday with a foot injury. He's out because of blisters and this sounds like yet another precautionary preseason DNP. The Birdman will look to reprise his role from 2012-13, when he averaged 4.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in under 15 minutes per game.

Chris Andersen is scheduled to arrive in Taiwan on August 15 to talk to local basketball players. Birdman will discuss his experience winning a championship and encouraging players to pursue their dreams. He was an integral part in the Heat's championship run, but could share playing time with Greg Oden, should he return healthy.
