Multiple sources have refuted a report that the Nets and Andrei Kirilenko have verbally agreed to a three-year contract. There has been plenty of smoke surrounding AK and the Nets, partially due to Mikhail Prokhorov owning the team, but we're not buying in until it's reported by a reputable NJ/Brooklyn beat writer. Today's rumor came from Wendell Maxey, a freelance sportswriter based in Germany.

Andrei Kirilenko is reportedly working out a three-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets. We heard rumblings about Kirilenko signing with the Nets before this season, but it never wound up happening. It's entirely possible AK-47 returns to the NBA next year, but Billy King said on Tuesday that he sought to sigh Gerald Wallace to a multi-year contract and bring back Kris Humphries. Oh, and there's also the small task of re-signing Deron Williams.

Andrei Kirilenko scored 11 points in CSKA Moscow's victory on Wednesday, his first action since November 18. Kirilenko announced weeks ago that he would remain in Russia this season, but presumably he was still getting over injuries related to a hard fall he took in November. Even without AK in the lineup, CSKA Moscow is 11-0 this season.

Andrei Kirilenko's agent confirmed that his client is interested in returning to the NBA next season "if he gets the right kind of offer." Kirilenko was seeking a multi-year contract worth around $9 million per season previously, so it will be interesting to see what kind of market develops for him in a loaded 2012 free agent class. Depending upon where he lands, Kirilenko would be a very intriguing player to target for his proclivity to stuff the stat sheet with versatile lines.

Andrei Kirilenko will finish the season with his Russian team CSKA Moscow according to the team. Well there you have it. Kirilenko told reporters that he didn't feel it was right to leave his team midseason, and fantasy owners are now free to drop him if they haven't already. You can wait a day to make sure there's no crossed wires here, but we wouldn't lose out on a hot free agent to do it.

Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Nets are claiming that they don't have a deal with Andrei Kirilenko. They could still be negotiating, but at this point, Kirilenko is still a free agent.

Andrei Kirilenko is reportedly leaving CSKA Moscow to sign a multi-year contract with the Nets. Kirilenko should easily start at SF ahead of Stephen Graham and Ime Udoka, and deserves to be scooped off the waiver wire if he's still available. He broke his nose in a nasty fall last month but has since recovered, and should be ready to play upon arriving in New Jersey.

Andrei Kirilenko hasn't played for CSKA Moscow since last Saturday, and is reportedly weighing offers from the Nets and Kings. The Nets have a Russian owner, Mikhail Prokhorov, which may help their case to land Kirilenko, and they also have a wide open starting SF job. Things are considerably murkier in Sacramento, where AK would either come off the bench or (more likely) push John Salmons into a reserve role.

The Kings are still interested in free agent Andrei Kirilenko. The report indicates he could command up to $9 million per year, and that he is making "significant money" in Russia, which is why he's in a holding pattern. We have a feeling the Kings are out of play here, though, as talk with the Nets has been hotter as of late.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports that the Nets are "trying to close deal" with Andrei Kirilenko. Kirilenko's addition would be a solid one for the Nets, and we noted that the two sides were thought to be in "serious talks" on Wednesday night. He would have an intriguing fantasy value playing alongside Deron Williams, and AK-47 would be a solid pick in the middle to late rounds of your draft.
