Andrei Kirilenko said that coach Rick Adelman sees him as "an experienced player, who'll be an example for the young talent Minnesota has in the squad." Kirilenko is one of the more interesting players to watch in the next month. He should get some run at forward and has nice upside with his career averages of 2.0 blocks and 1.4 steals. In the first Rotoworld mock draft he went in the ninth round.

Updating a previous item, Andrei Kirlekno will travel from London to Russia to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin after the Russians took home the bronze at the Olympics. It looks like GM David Kahn lost some of his clout. Kidding aside, Kirilenko should be heading to Minnesota in the near future for his introductory press conference. AK-47 played 29.6 minutes per game at Eurobasket last season and racked up a league-high average of 2.6 steals and also adding 0.7 blocks. He'll be an interesting late-round pick in fantasy leagues in a couple months.

Andrei Kirilenko will be in Minnesota immediately following the Olympics for his introductory press conference. The Wolves signed AK-47 to a two-year deal last month to end the Russian's one-year hiatus from the NBA. While he's had trouble staying healthy by missing 10 or more games in his last seven NBA seasons, Kirilenko has been one of the best contributors for defensive stats with career averages of 2.0 blocks and 1.4 steals. The 31-year-old forward is a player we'll be watching for his upside. Thankfully, there's no player on the Minnesota roster with the number 47.

Andrei Kirilenko had another nice game in the Olympics on Thursday, scoring 19 points in a tough 75-74 win over Brazil. Kirilenko has been hot and Russia is now a surprising 3-0 in pool play. Kirilenko will play for the Wolves this season and could be a real sleeper pick if he can stay healthy and crack the starting lineup (which he should). Timofey Mozgov added 18 points and seven boards, and Wolves rookie Alexy Shved looked fantastic in the win. He'll have trouble getting enough minutes once Ricky Rubio is healthy, but is going to be a solid NBA point guard eventually. Leandro Barbosa scored 16 for Brazil.

Andrei Kirilenko was everywhere for Russia in their Olympic victory on Sunday, racking up a game-high 35 points on 14-of-17 shooting. AK was dominant on both ends and hasn't missed a beat after winning EuroLeague MVP honors. His shooting mechanics and shot selection have improved in recent seasons, making the 31-year-old forward even more intriguing as a high-risk (due to injury), high-upside fantasy pick next season.

The Nets may attempt to sign Andrei Kirilenko if he opts out of his deal with the Wolves next summer. The Nets have "made three attempts" to sign Kirilenko in recent memory, all without success, but they could have enough salary cap flexibility to lure him to Brooklyn next summer. He's only 31 years old, remember, so it's not as though he's way past his prime.

Timberwolves sign F Andrei Kirilenko. Kirilenko is expected to receive a two-year, $20 million contract, with the second season being a player option. He's spent time with CSKA Moscow, but now he'll return to the NBA where he should immediately start for the Timberwolves. Fantasy owners should take note of his versatile game, as he has career averages of 12.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.0 blocks on 47 percent shooting.

The Timberwolves and Andrei Kirilenko are reportedly finalizing a two-year, $20 million contract, with the second year a player option. A handful of teams were pursuing Kirilenko, but the Wolves landed him thanks to their cap-clearing inclusion in the three-team trade that cost the Wolves former No. 4 overall pick Wes Johnson and a future first-round pick. It's a lot of money to shell out for the 31-year-old forward, but he's coming off an MVP season in the EuroLeague, and he gives Minny a starting SF ahead of Chase Budinger.

The Timberwolves are reportedly trying to sign F Andrei Kirilenko, who is no longer said to be interested in joining the Brooklyn Nets. The Wolves would clear a lot of salary space in a rumored three-team deal that would send Wes Johnson to the Suns, clearing the way for them to throw some decent cash at Kirilenko - Jerry Zgoda said on Twitter he could be getting $18 million over two years. It's hard to say how much gas he has left in his tank, but a starting five of Ricky Rubio, Brandon Roy, Kirilenko, Kevin Love and Nikola Pekovic at least looks formidable on paper, depending on what year we're talking about.

The Nets continue to make "a hard push" to sign Andrei Kirilenko, but AK is also being pursued by the Warriors and possibly other teams. Kirilenko would have to accept the veteran's minimum to sign with the Nets, where he'd be fighting with Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries and Mirza Teletovic for minutes at the forward spots. He said he wants to pick a team before the Olympics begin, so we should soon learn whether he'll accept less money and a smaller role to play in Brooklyn -- previous reports indicated that he's not interested in that scenario.
