Andrei Kirilenko (back spasms) has been ruled out for Saturday's game vs. Indiana. Back injuries have been a theme during Kirilenko's career and it's disconcerting that he can't shake the injury despite playing under 17 minutes in every game this year. He'll likely be day-to-day as the Nets embark on their three-game road trip this week, and at this point AK is far too risky to deploy in weekly lineups.

Andrei Kirilenko had six points, five rebounds and nothing else in 17 minutes on Tuesday. This game was a blowout and Kirilenko was able to rest his back for the second half. If he ever gets cleared for heavy minutes, he could be a sneaky fantasy play for the rest of the season, but that's a big if.

Andrei Kirilenko only played 11 minutes off the Nets' bench on Sunday. Playing in his second game after recovering from a lingering back injury, AK was expected to get more playing time. Instead, he picked up four quick fouls and was benched with the game rapidly getting out of hand in the second half. He should see an uptick in minutes on Tuesday, the first of three games for Brooklyn this week.

Andrei Kirilenko is expected to play more minutes against the Magic on Sunday. He played just 12 minutes on Friday against the Heat and said his back felt "great" following the game. The Nets might want to manage Kirilenko's minutes for much of the season due to how he's dealt with back spasms in every calendar year since 2005.

Andrei Kirilenko was feeling good after returning from a back injury to play his first game with the Nets. "It felt great, finally," he said following the game. Kirilenko drove in for a dunk in the fourth-quarter and appears confident that the injury is behind him.

Andrei Kirilenko (back) made his season debut on Friday, scoring eight points on 2-of-4 shooting with two rebounds and one assist in 12 minutes. Kirilenko looked great when he was on the floor and if he is chilling on your waiver wire now is probably the time to give him a look. We can't guarantee his health and his minutes may be a bit up and down, but he has an upside that most guys on the wire don't usually have.

Andrei Kirilenko is set to make his season debut on Friday after missing Wednesday's game with a back injury, but don't expect him to play much. Coach Jason Kidd, who will serve the second of a two-game suspension tonight, says he expects Kirilenko to play between 10-12 minutes against the Heat. He'll need more run than that to offer much fantasy value, so leave him on your bench if you have options.

Andrei Kirilenko (back spasms) went through Thursday's light practice but remains questionable to return on Friday. He was "moving around good" during 2-on-2 drills at the end of practice, without obvious discomfort from his back. His ability to rack up defensive stats in bursts should give him targeted fantasy appeal, but it won't matter if injuries keep him off the court.

Andrei Kirilenko (back spasms) will not play on Wednesday, but he's hopeful to return for the Nets' home game vs. the Heat on Friday. He wants to make it through a 5-on-5 scrimmage before taking the court in a game. It's been 15 days since the back injury occurred and owners can only hope that the rest, coupled with reduced minutes off the bench, keeps him healthy long-term.

Andre Kirilenko is unsure of his status for Wednesday's opener. Kirilenko said he feels better, but is more likely to be in the Nets' lineup on Friday as he is currently on the Inactive List for Wednesday's opener against Cleveland. The 32-year-old has reportedly traveled with the team and his inactive status can be changed before the game, so this is a situation we'll be monitoring.
