Eflin (2-2) picked up the win in Friday's 12-2 rout of Atlanta, giving up two runs on five hits and a walk over 6.2 innings. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
The Phillies jumped out to a 6-0 lead before the right-hander even took the mound, making for a relatively stress-free night for Eflin. He tossed 64 of 99 pitches for strikes en route to his fifth quality start of the season, and the 27-year-old has lasted at least six innings in every one of his seven outings. He'll take a 3.38 ERA and stellar 42:3 K:BB through 45.1 innings into his next start.

Eflin allowed two earned runs on 10 hits while striking out seven across six innings in the loss to the Mets on Sunday. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin may have surrendered a season-high 10 hits, but he was successful in stranding nine runners on base resulting in only two runs allowed. This was his fourth straight start without issuing a walk. In six starts, he only has two walks compared to 34 strikeouts. The 27-year-old has an ERA of 3.49 through 38.2 innings and he hasn't allowed any home runs.

Eflin (1-1) suffered his first loss of the season Tuesday against the Cardinals while allowing five runs on nine hits but did not allow a walk and struck out eight over 6.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin's overall performance was better than his final line shows. The 27-year-old allowed three runs over the first two innings but was able to settle in while not allowing a run over the next four frames. He ended up being pulled with two outs in the seventh after surrendering back-to-back singles, and his replacement, Sam Coonrod, coughed up a two-run double on the first pitch he threw to Paul Goldschmidt. Eflin had begun the year with three quality starts in his first four outings but wasn't as sharp Tuesday night after allowing a season-high nine hits. The right-hander has had impressive command, however, as he's logged a 27:2 K:BB over 32.2 innings. He'll take a 3.58 ERA into his next start against the Mets on Sunday.

Eflin allowed one run on seven hits and zero walks over six innings during Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Giants. He had three strikeouts and didn't factor in the decison.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old continues to showcase strong control early in the season with only two walks through four starts. Eflin left Wednesday's contest with a 4-1 lead, but the bullpen promptly surrendered four runs after his exit. The right-hander has a 2.77 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 19:2 K:BB through 26 innings, and he lines up to pitch at St. Louis early next week.

Eflin (1-0) allowed two runs on six hits and no walks while striking out six in seven innings to earn the win against the Cardinals on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin didn't have much trouble getting through the first seven innings Friday, but he gave up a leadoff double to Dylan Carlson in the eighth inning before Justin Williams ended the shutout with a home run to left field. However, the right-hander still picked up his first win of the year and has recorded a 3.15 ERA and 0.95 WHIP in 20 innings. He'll attempt to remain effective at home against the Giants on Wednesday.

Eflin and the Phillies won't play against the Mets on Thursday since the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin will have to wait to make his third start of the season, but he'll likely to start Friday's series opener against the Cardinals while Matt Moore gets pushed back to Saturday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports. The right-hander has posted a 3.46 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in 13 innings across his first two outings of 2021.

Eflin tossed six innings against the Braves on Saturday, giving up four runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out two. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin got off to a shaky start in the contest, yielding three runs in the first frame, including a pair on a Freddie Freeman home run. The right-hander subsequently settled in, however, and didn't allow another runner to cross the plate until the sixth inning. Eflin's performance was a step down from his first start against Atlanta, during which he gave up only one run while striking out eight over seven innings, but the positive is that he didn't fold after being knocked around early. Eflin's next start is scheduled for Thursday at the Mets.

Eflin allowed a run on four hits and a walk while fanning eight across seven innings Sunday against the Braves. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin left the game shortly after giving up a home run to Travis d'Arnaud in the seventh inning, but that was the only mistake he committed all game long -- the right-hander was dominant and opened the campaign with a quality start. Eflin posted career-best marks in both ERA (3.97) and WHIP (1.27) last season and this strong start is certainly a step that continues in that direction. His next scheduled start will come on the road against the Braves on April 10.

Eflin (back) will get the start Monday in the Phillies' Grapefruit League finale against the Blue Jays, Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin will rejoin the Phillies' spring pitching schedule for the first time since March 13, but he's been able to stay relatively on track in his build-up program over the past two weeks while he's managed a minor back injury. Rather than pitching in the Grapefruit League last week when his turn came up, Eflin completed a simulated game without issue. Assuming he's able to cover around 4-to-5 innings Monday, he should head into Opening Day with few restrictions. Eflin is lined up to start the Phillies' third game of the regular season Sunday versus Atlanta.

Eflin (back) is expected to be ready to pitch the third game of the season April 4 against Atlanta, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin was scratched from his scheduled Friday start due to a back issue, but he hasn't been significantly set back. He threw a bullpen session Sunday and is scheduled for a simulated game Wednesday and a Grapefruit League outing Monday. He's expected to be 10-15 pitches behind where the Phillies want him to be for the start of the regular season but should still be able to last at least four or five innings in his first turn in the rotation.
