Davies (2-3) was tagged with the loss Thursday against the Giants after allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks while fanning four across 4.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Davies ended a streak of his six straight outings allowing three or fewer runs, and he also failed to complete at least five innings since the beginning of May, so this was certainly an outing he'd like to forget as soon as possible. His next scheduled start is set for next week on the road against the Padres.

Davies didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Cubs after giving up one run on two hits and two walks while fanning three across five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Davies ended just three outs away from what would've been his second quality start of the campaign, but he has pitched six or more innings just once all year long so he's never expected to pitch too deep into games. The right-hander has been impressive of late, though, allowing one or fewer runs in five of his last six outings and posting a 1.74 ERA in that stretch. His next start is scheduled for next week on the road against the Giants.

Davies took a no-decision Sunday against St. Louis, pitching five innings and allowing no runs on five hits and three walks with three strikeouts in a 2-1 win.
EDGE Analysis
Davies labored a bit by surrendering multiple base runners in three different innings but was able to prevent the big blow and keep the Cardinals off the board. The righty only needed 71 pitches to get through five innings and most likely had at least one more inning in him, but manager David Ross opted to pinch-hit for Davies in the top of the sixth, ending his night. After a rough April Davies has been much better in May, allowing five runs across five starts.

Davies allowed three runs across five innings and did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's win over the Nationals. He gave up seven hits and a walk while striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
Davies turned in a so-so performance, as he wasn't able to miss a ton of Washington bats, which has been a theme this season. The righty now has just 23 strikeouts in 40.1 innings pitched to go along with a 5.58 ERA. Those numbers aren't going to grab the attention of fantasy managers, and they're a ways off from the 2.73 ERA and 8.2 K/9 Davies posted for San Diego last season. He'll look for better results and a return to the win column his next time out Sunday against the Cardinals.

Davies allowed a run on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 5.1 innings versus Cleveland on Wednesday. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
The only run against Davies came in the sixth inning on an Amed Rosario RBI double. The 28-year-old Davies had an inconsistent start to the season, but he's allowed just three runs (two earned) in 16.1 innings across his last three starts. The right-hander has a 5.60 ERA, 1.75 WHIP and 22:21 K:BB in 35.1 innings overall. He's projected to face Washington next week.

Davies (2-2) allowed five hits and one walk while striking out one in seven scoreless innings to earn the win against the Pirates on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Davies put together his first scoreless outing as a Cub on Friday, and he picked up his first win since his season debut April 4. Even though the right-hander only struck out one batter against the Pirates, he's now allowed just two runs (one earned) in 11 innings across his last two starts. Davies tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road Wednesday against Cleveland.

Davies didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Reds. He gave up two runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks while fanning three across four innings.
EDGE Analysis
Davies has not pitched more than four innings in any of his previous five appearances, and in fact, this was just the first time he allowed fewer than two runs in any of his outings. He has been struggling of late with a 17:18 K:BB and a 8.22 ERA through 23 innings.

Davies allowed five runs on six hits across 3.2 innings and did not factor into the decision Monday against Atlanta. He walked four and struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Davies probably deserved his third loss of the season, but Atlanta starter Charlie Morton also allowed five runs, taking Davies off the hook. Other than not taking the loss, it was otherwise another poor performance for the righty, who has an abysmal 9.47 ERA after five starts. It's a far cry from the 2.73 ERA Davies posted in 2020, and considering he's part of the return Chicago received for Yu Darvish, he'll need to pitch a lot better to endear himself to Cubs fans and fantasy managers. He'll look to turn things around in his next outing, which is scheduled for Saturday against the Reds.

Davies allowed two earned runs on five hits across across four innings and did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 16-4 win over the Mets. He walked two and struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Davies got more than enough run support, but he couldn't last five innings to qualify for the win. The righty continued a trend of not going very deep into games, as he's now pitched four innings or fewer in three straight starts. Davies is 0-2 during the stretch, and he has an unsightly 8.80 ERA for the season. He'll look to pitch a little better in his next scheduled outing Monday against Atlanta.

Davies (1-2) allowed four runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out one in four innings as he was charged with the loss Friday against Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Davies was sharp in his Cubs debut, but he's struggled in each of his last two starts. He was able to limit his run production slightly better than he did in his last outing, but he still allowed 10 baserunners prior to his removal. Through his first three starts, Davies has posted a 10.32 ERA and 2.21 WHIP in 11.1 innings. The right-hander will attempt to turn things around at home against the Mets on Wednesday.
