Manager Dave Roberts said Darvish will probably require a stint on the disabled list to get over back tightness, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish is apparently dealing with some lingering back tightness that crept up during his most recent start, so the Dodgers will play it safe with their newly acquired pitcher and give him some time on the DL to get better. It's unclear how long he'll be sidelined with the ailment, but he's set to miss at least one turn in the rotation before he's eligible for activation (Aug. 26). In the meantime, Brock Stewart is expected to fill in for him in the rotation while he's sidelined.

Darvish allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk through six innings Wednesday against the White Sox. He struck out two and didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Although he was able to notch a quality start, it wasn't Darvish's finest outing; he served up a season-high three homers while failing to strikeout three batters for the first time in his career (125 starts). He left the game in line for a loss, but a ninth inning rally from the Dodgers got him off the hook and left his undefeated record as a Dodger. He now boasts a 2.50 ERA and 22:4 K:BB in three starts (18 innings) for his new team, so look for him to turn in another quality outing when he faces off against a slumping Pittsburgh team Tuesday.

Darvish (8-9) held the Diamondbacks to two runs on five hits with two walks and 10 strikeouts over five innings in Thursday's 8-6 win.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish's high strikeout total came at a price, as he needed 106 pitches just to get through five frames. Luckily for him, Los Angeles' potent offense had already built up an 8-2 lead by the time the bottom of the sixth rolled around and Arizona was never able to claw all the way back. The rental from Texas now has a 20:3 K:BB in 12 innings through two starts with his new team. Expect another hefty strikeout total when Darvish takes on a subpar White Sox lineup in his home debut Wednesday.

Darvish (7-9) scattered three hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings while striking out 10 in Friday's 6-0 win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
He fired 68 of 99 pitches for strikes in a spectacular Dodgers debut, as Darvish gave his new team everything it could have hoped for when he came over from the Rangers at the trade deadline. The 30-year-old will continue acclimating himself to the National League in a juicy matchup next Friday at home against the Padres.

Darvish will make his Dodgers debut Friday against the Mets, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
He will throw a bullpen session Wednesday to prepare for his first start in nine days. Darvish was rocked for a career-high 10 runs over 3.2 innings in his final start in a Rangers uniform, and Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reported that Darvish was tipping his pitches in that outing. Assuming he irons out those issues, Darvish should return to frontline form in short order.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts indicated that Darvish will make his team debut no earlier than Thursday's game against the Braves, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Prior to being traded to the Dodgers on Monday, Darvish had been listed as the Rangers' probable starter for their game Tuesday, so the right-hander has already had his normal four days of rest in between starts and could be used as soon as Roberts wishes. With capable options in Kenta Maeda and Alex Wood on hand to start the next two games, however, the Dodgers can afford to let Darvish take the time to get acclimated with his new team. The arrival of Darvish likely means that Brock Stewart, who entered the rotation last week for the injured Clayton Kershaw (back), will move back to the bullpen or to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Darvish was traded to the Dodgers on Monday, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Talks had been ongoing all throughout the past week, but the Dodgers were ultimately the team to pull the trigger in the waning moments of the non-waiver trade deadline. Darvish will now join an already powerful Dodgers team and will likely act as the clear number two starter behind Clayton Kershaw. On the season, the 30-year-old holds a 4.01 ERA and 148 strikeouts in 137 innings pitched for Texas.

The Rangers informed potential suitors Thursday that they are actively looking to trade Darvish before the July 31 deadline, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
After Darvish served up a career-high 10 runs in the Rangers' embarrassing 22-10 loss to the Marlins on Wednesday, it appears the organization changed its stance regarding trading their ace, with previous reports having suggested that general manager Jon Daniels would only move the right-hander in the "right deal." Now 4.5 games off the pace for the American League's second wild-card spot entering play Friday and with three other teams ahead of them in the standings, the Rangers seem to be realistic about their long playoff odds, so they will look cash in on their best trade chip in Darvish, who is bound for free agency this summer. Even with Wednesday's disaster of an outing raising his ERA above 4.00 for the season, Darvish is still widely viewed as the top available arm on the trade market, and even as a rental, he could yield a high return. Darvish tentatively remains in line to make his next start with the Rangers on Tuesday (Aug. 1), but based on Rosenthal's report, it's more likely than not that he'll be wearing a different uniform by the time that date arrives.

Darvish (6-9) allowed 10 runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out two batters through just 3.2 innings during Wednesday's loss to Miami.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish had struggled at home this season with a 4.35 ERA entering Wednesday's start, but this was an entirely new low. Overall, the 30-year-old righty has been solid this season with a 4.01 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 9.7 K/9 for the campaign, and his strikeout upside lands him in matchup-proof territory. However, there are clearly some concerns about his work at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Darvish projects to face the Mariners at home in his next start.

The Rangers are reportedly willing to trade Darvish prior to the July 31 deadline "for the right price," according to ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick.
EDGE Analysis
The Rangers' fleeting playoff hopes received a boost with a three-game series sweep of the Rays over the weekend, but with the team still 3.5 games back of the second wild-card spot and facing competition from a number of clubs, Texas could decide to sell off some pieces in the next week. With few other high-impact arms believed to be available at the deadline, the Rangers could generate plenty of interest if they're committed to dealing Darvish, who struck out a season-high 12 batters his last time out Friday. Darvish will be an unrestricted free agent this winter, but even as a rental, his top-of-the-rotation upside could be enough for the Rangers to net a top prospect in return. Darvish is still in line to start Wednesday against the Marlins in what could be his final outing in a Rangers uniform.
