Darvish threw six shutout innings, allowing just two hits with one walk and eight strikeouts during a no-decision against the Pirates on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
This was arguably Darvish's best outing of the season, as it was the first time all year he didn't yield a run. Still, he wasn't rewarded with a win because the Cubs bullpen allowed a homer to tie the game in the eighth. Darvish will look to build upon this success, which he hasn't been able to do recently. He's yielded one run in an outing two times since the end of May but then followed that up with poor starts. Darvish is 2-4 with a 4.72 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 119 strikeouts in 103 innings this season. He is set to make his next appearance against the Reds on Wednesday.

Darvish allowed four runs on seven hits with no walks and six strikeouts across 6.2 innings during a no-decision against the Pirates on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old solved his walk problem Wednesday, but he did yield two homers. Darvish has allowed nine home runs in his last five appearances, and he only avoided a loss Wednesday because the Cubs responded with a homer to take the lead after he departed. Darvish is 2-4 with a 5.01 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 111 strikeouts in 97 innings this season.

Darvish is scheduled to start Wednesday's game at Pittsburgh, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish originally lined up to start Tuesday's contest, but he'll be pushed back a day with Kyle Hendricks (shoulder) set to make his return from the injured list. Darvish has given up nine runs in his last two outings and will look to get back on track in his last start before the All-Star break.

Darvish (2-4) gave up five runs on five hits and two walks while striking out eight through five innings to take the loss against the Braves on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish ran into trouble early as he gave up all five runs in his first three innings. The loss broke a streak of 10 consecutive no-decisions for the 32-year-old, one short of an MLB record. The right-hander continues to struggle with a 4.98 ERA through 17 starts this season. Darvish will make his next start Tuesday against the Pirates at PNC Park.

Darvish allowed four runs over six innings and did not factor into the decision in Friday's loss to the Mets. He gave up just four hits and two walks, while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
Home runs accounted for most of the damage against Darvish, as he gave up a two-run blast in the third inning and a solo shot in the sixth. The righty has now allowed 16 home runs through 85.1 innings, and he'll need to start limiting the long ball better to cut down his 4.75 ERA. Darvish is scheduled to take the mound again on Wednesday against a hot Braves lineup.

Darvish didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Dodgers, allowing one run on two hits and a walk over seven innings while striking out 10.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander's only real mistake resulted in an Alex Verdugo solo shot in the fourth inning, but that held up as the only run of the game until Anthony Rizzo played hero with a two-run shot off Kenley Jansen in the ninth. Darvish has been pitching better lately, posting a 2.96 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 24:7 K:BB through 24.1 innings over his last four trips to the mound, but he still can't seem to generate any real momentum -- he has yet to deliver consecutive quality starts this season. He'll look to break that pattern Friday, at home against the Mets.

Darvish threw six innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Monday, giving up four earned runs on six hits, striking out three and walking none in the Cubs' 6-5 defeat.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish mostly pitched well in this contest, but third-inning long balls from Charlie Blackmon and Nolan Arenado accounted for all of the damage against him and would ultimately force him to settle for a no-decision. The right-hander has been pitching better lately, but an erratic start to the season still leaves him with a 4.98 ERA and a 1.48 WHIP through 72.1 innings. He's scheduled to take the mound next on the road against the Dodgers on Saturday.

Darvish allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits and three walks while striking out five across 5.1 innings Wednesday against the Rockies. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish surrendered only one hit and two walks through five shutout innings. However, he struggled in the sixth frame, allowing three of the first four batters he faced to reach base before getting pulled. Two of his charged runs came after his departure, as the Cubs bullpen failed to pick him up. Though Darvish threw 65 of his 95 pitches for strikes, he surrendered at least three walks in an outing for the 10th time in 14 tries this season. That said, he's managed to lower his ERA from 5.79 to 4.88 in the last month -- a span of seven starts. He'll look to maintain the improved results in his next start, currently scheduled for Monday at Coors Field for a rematch against the Rockies.

Darvish pitched six innings of one-run ball but did not factor into the decision in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Cardinals. He allowed three hits and three walks, while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
This was one of Darvish's best outings of the season, but he still hasn't factored into a decision since grabbing a win on April 27. The Japanese righty has generally not gone far enough into games to pick up wins, though it is encouraging that he's now gone six innings or more in three straight starts. Darvish will carry a 5.02 ERA into his next turn in the rotation, which is slated for Wednesday against the Rockies

Darvish allowed six runs on 12 hits (including three homers) over seven innings in a no-decision against the Reds on Saturday. He walked two and struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish gave the Cubs plenty of innings, but they weren't particularly good ones. He gave up two runs in the second, two in the fifth, one in the sixth and one more in the eighth before eventually getting pulled. The Reds had at least one runner reach base in each of his innings. The Cubs' offense did its job, however, and Chicago was able to pull out with the win despite Darvish's ERA rising to 5.40. He'll look to bring that number down Friday in St. Louis.
