Rodriguez (4-3) gave up eight runs on 11 hits and three walks while striking out four in Wednesday's loss to the A's. Texas had won its last six games started by Rodriguez, who had allowed three runs or less in each of those games. That streak was snapped Wednesday when Rodriguez gave up eight runs in the first two innings. The 36-year-old lefty will look to bounce back in his next scheduled start Monday at Baltimore.

Rodriguez (3-2) gave up just one run on three hits and three walks with six strikeouts in 6.1 innings against the Twins on Friday, but did not factor into the decision. Wandy has quietly enjoyed a solid season for the Rangers. He is inducing groundballs at a career-high rate (48.3%) and has only given up four home runs all year en route to a 3.03 ERA thus far. It took Rodriguez 122 pitches to get 20 outs Friday, so owners should beware of fatigue when he starts at the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Rodriguez picked up his third win of the season Saturday, allowing just one run on six hits over seven innings, striking out four. He continues to provide a beleaguered Rangers rotation with quality innings, and Rodriguez now has a 3.25 ERA and 43:18 K:BB ratio through nine starts and 52.2 IP. He'll next take the hill on Friday, at home against the Twins.

Rodriguez was solid in a no-decision on Sunday against the Red Sox, as he gave up three runs (two earned) over 5.2 innings with four strikeouts and zero walks. The veteran scattered nine singles on the day, but was able to avoid any major damage despite giving up a run on an error with men on in the second inning. Rodriguez has now given up three runs or fewer in all but two of his starts this season and continues to put up solid, yet unspectacular numbers for the Rangers.

Rodriguez allowed five runs on eight hits, walking one and striking out two over 4.2 innings of an 8-3 loss to Cleveland on Friday night. He gave up two runs in the top of the first inning, but his mates scored three in the bottom of the frame to give him a lead. The Indians then scored in the fourth and fifth innings to chase him. It was a struggle throughout as Rodriguez (1-2, 3.86 ERA) needed 101 pitches (64 for strikes) and didn't make it out of the fifth. He has been extremely inconsistent so far this season and would have to be considered a risky play right now.

Rodriguez went eight full innings Tuesday against the Astros, only giving up one earned run on three hits while fanning eight to earn the win. Rodriguez rebounded from his previous start, when he only last four innings. He's only made three starts this year, so it's still tough to get a read on his performance. However, he's had two starts now when he's allowed only one run, but he's given up two home runs and walked nine combined batters.

Rodriguez lasted only 4.1 innings, allowing five hits, five walks and four runs with three strikeouts Wednesday against the Mariners. With the game tied at two and the bases loaded with one out in the the top of the fifth, Rodriguez gave up a grounder to Logan Morrison that should have ended the inning with a double-play. However, first baseman Kyle Blanks missed the ball, and the play resulted in a two-run double. Rodriguez was then lifted for Stolmy Pimentel, who pitched three scoreless innings. The veteran left-hander will take the mound again Tuesday at Houston.
