Buehler will make his second start of the campaign Monday versus the Padres, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Clayton Kershaw (back) is expected to rejoin the rotation Sunday, allowing the Dodgers to roll out Kershaw and Buehler on consecutive days as they envisioned in spring training. Buehler was limited to 56 pitches over 3.2 innings in his first start of the campaign last Tuesday, but he should be able to raise that pitch count against San Diego.

Buehler didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Astros, allowing two runs on three hits and a hit over 3.2 innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, the right-hander was held to a limited workload and fired only 56 pitches (40 strikes) before exiting the game. Buehler was actually headed for a loss, but the Dodgers erupted for five runs in the fifth inning to take him off the hook. Look for Buehler to be stretched out into the 70-80 pitch range in his next outing, giving him a better chance at a decision.

Manager Dave Roberts confirmed Tuesday that Buehler will start the Dodgers' fifth game of the season July 28 in Houston, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The assignment is a tough break for Buehler and his fantasy managers. Not only will Buehler be the last in the Dodgers' pitching schedule, but he'll forgo a cushy home start against the Giants in the season-opening series for a road outing against one of baseball's top offenses from 2019. Additionally, Buehler will likely be subject to a restricted pitch count since he only covered two innings in an intrasquad game Friday in his penultimate outing of summer camp. Per Castillo, Dustin May is the top candidate to piggyback Buehler next week in the event the latter is capped at around 3-to-5 innings.

Buehler and Dustin May could form a piggyback pairing early in the season while Buehler builds up to a full workload, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler reportedly followed a less frequent pitching schedule than his rotation mates during the MLB shutdown and thus needs more time to ramp up to a full starter's workload. He tossed two innings in an intrasquad game Friday, which puts him well behind schedule with Opening Day less than a week away. As such, May -- who also remains in contention for the fifth starter spot -- could be called upon early to form a 1-2 punch with Buehler until the latter is no longer limited.

Buehler is expected to throw two innings in Friday's intrasquad game, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler will see his first intrasquad game action Friday as he's been building up slowly during summer camp. The slow start to camp isn't due to any injury, but he's slightly behind the other pitchers with one week remaining before Opening Day. Manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday that "once the season starts whatever he gives us will be sufficient," so while it sounds as though Buehler will be available to start the season, he could be limited.

Manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday that Buehler is "a little behind the other guys, but once the season starts whatever he gives us will be sufficient," Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 25-year-old threw a simulated inning Saturday and is scheduled for two-plus simulated frames this week, so it appears he won't be ready for a full workload to begin the season. Buehler has a little more than a week to continue ramping up for the opening series against the Giants, but he seems likely to start the season being limited to fewer than five innings per outing. According to David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports, Roberts also said Buehler's slow buildup in summer training isn't related to any kind of injury.

Buehler hurled four innings against Milwaukee in a Cactus League game Wednesday, allowing one run on three hits and three walks while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler struggled with his command in his third spring start but was able to limit the damage to one run, lowering his Cactus League ERA to 3.24. The 25-year-old will occupy the No. 2 spot in the Dodgers' rotation when the regular season commences.

Buehler pitched two perfect innings against Colorado in his Cactus League debut Saturday, striking out two batters. He touched 96 mph with his fastball, per Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register.
EDGE Analysis
The velocity was in line with the 96.5-mph average Buehler registered on his fastball last season. Following his All-Star 2019 campaign, Buehler is expected to co-spearhead the Dodgers' staff this season along with future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw.

Buehler did not factor into the decision Wednesday in a 7-3 loss to the Nationals in Game 5 of the NLDS after allowing one run on four hits and three walks with seven strikeouts in 6.2 innings
EDGE Analysis
Buehler exited the game in the seventh inning with a 3-1 lead but the LA bullpen, specifically Clayton Kershaw and Joe Kelly, coughed up six runs the rest of the way. The 25-year-old Buehler went 14-4 in 30 regular-season starts with a 3.26 ERA and 1.04 WHIP, then allowed just one run over 12.2 innings in his two postseason starts with a 15:6 K:BB ratio. He'll enter the 2020 campaign as one of the game's elite starting pitchers in all fantasy formats.

Buehler is in line to start Game 5 of the NLDS against the Nationals on Wednesday, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Washington was able to force a Game 5 after a victory Monday evening, and according to skipper Dave Roberts, Buehler will get the nod. After Monday's loss, Roberts stated that the idea is for Clayton Kershaw to piggyback with Walker, per Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register.
