Buehler did not factor in the decision against San Diego on Friday, hurling six innings and allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler gave up a run in the second and another on a Fernando Tatis homer in the fifth, but he was mostly in control and left the game with the Dodgers up by two. He wasn't able to pick up his second win of the campaign, however, as it took 12 innings for the Dodgers to finally put their rival away. Buehler registered 16 swinging strikes in the outing but struck out only four. His strikeout numbers have been down this season -- the right-hander has collected only 12 K's across 18 innings -- but he has held opponents to only four earned runs across his three starts. Buehler's next outing will come in a rematch against San Diego on Thursday.

Buehler's next outing is scheduled for Friday at San Diego, Blake Harris of SB Nation reports.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler last pitched April 9 against Washington, so he'll have six days off between starts. The decision to start him Friday is partly to allow Dustin May a shot to rejoin the rotation Wednesday, though the larger implication is that Buehler will now start the opening game of the Dodgers' series against the second-place Padres. Over 12 innings this season, Buehler has allowed only two earned runs while posting an 8:0 K:BB.

Buehler (1-0) allowed six hits over six shutout innings Friday, striking out four batters and earning the win over Washington.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler quickly rolled through four innings without much trouble but had runners in scoring position in the fifth and sixth frames. He was able to get out clean and pick up the win on Justin Turner's solo homer in the sixth. The 26-year-old has eight strikeouts and a 1.50 ERA through 12 innings and has yet to issue a walk this season. Buehler will get another home start next Thursday against the Rockies.

Buehler allowed two runs on four hits while fanning four across six innings Saturday against the Rockies. He was credited with a no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler gave up a home run to Raimel Tapia in the third inning and an RBI double to Ryan McMahon in the fourth, but he was quite good the rest of the way. Buehler was credited with a quality start, and despite the fact that he didn't have his best stuff, the right-hander still found a way to get the job done. His next start is scheduled for April 9 at home against the Nationals.

Buehler pitched five innings in Tuesday's Cactus League contest versus Milwaukee, allowing nine runs on 10 hits and one walk while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler hurled 83 pitches in the outing, so there is at least some solace in knowing that he is built up to something near a regular-season pitch count. The right-hander couldn't keep the ball in the park Tuesday, however, yielding four long balls -- including three in the first inning. Buehler has struggled this spring with a 7.94 ERA and .351 BAA, but his 16:2 K:BB is promising and he clearly has the arsenal to again be one of the NL's top starters.

Buehler hurled four innings in a Cactus League contest versus the White Sox on Wednesday, allowing one unearned run on five hits and one walk while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
The only run Buehler allowed on the day came as the result of a wild pitch, and he improved his spring K:BB to 11:1 over 12.0 innings with the excellent effort. Clayton Kershaw has been named the Dodgers' Opening Day starter, and Trevor Bauer is coming off a Cy Young season, but it wouldn't be surprising if Buehler is the most effective Dodgers starter this season.

Buehler hurled three innings in Friday's Cactus League win over Cleveland, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler gave up a pair of third-inning runs, but the outing was an improvement over his previous start, when he gave up four runs across three frames against Texas. The right-hander has struggled overall this spring, posting a 6.75 ERA and .314 BAA across three starts. Nonetheless, Buehler remains one of the game's top starters and should slot in near the top of the Dodgers' rotation again this season.

Buehler tossed three innings in Sunday's Cactus League contest versus Texas, allowing four runs on five hits while striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler retired the first two batters he faced before running into trouble Sunday, allowing two-out first-inning home runs to Joey Gallo and Rougned Odor. The right-hander surrendered another run in the second frame before finishing his day with a 1-2-3 third. The good news is that Buehler doesn't appear to be having any lingering issues with the blister that hampered him in September last season, and he is ramping up more rapidly than he did during summer camp prior to last year's abbreviated campaign. He should be good to go as one of the game's premier starters when the regular season rolls around.

Buehler hasn't had a recurrence of his blister problem since October, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Of course, the young right-hander has been in offseason mode since the Dodgers won the World Series last fall, so the fact that the blister hasn't re-formed doesn't necessarily mean that the issue is a thing of the past. Buehler acknowledged as much, saying that the problem is "always gonna be a wait-and-see thing." If the 26-year-old is able to stay healthy throughout the campaign, he has the tools to be one of the league's top starters and a top-10 fantasy option at the position.

Buehler signed a two-year, $8 million deal with the Dodgers to avoid arbitration Wednesday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
It appeared an arbitrator would decide the 26-year-old's salary for 2021, but the two sides were able to reach a deal before the upcoming hearing. The contract includes significant escalators for games started and any finish in the top three of voting for the Cy Young award, which would add $4.125 million if all the incentives are reached. Buehler had another strong season in 2020 with a 3.44 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 42:11 K:BB across 36.2 innings and remains of pivotal piece of Los Angeles' starting rotation.
