Buehler (14-4) took the loss against Cincinnati on Friday, pitching six innings and allowing three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
Though the right-hander earned his MLB-leading 26th quality start, he was outdueled by opposing starter Luis Castillo and didn't appear to have his best stuff. Buehler held the Reds scoreless for four frames but was touched up for a run in the fifth and two in the sixth before departing. His numbers on the campaign still hold up to the best hurlers in the league -- Buehler has a 2.39 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 194:49 K:BB across 192 innings -- but he has faded a bit of late, posting a 6.19 ERA and losing twice in three September starts. He'll look to get back on track next week in a start against Colorado.

Buehler (14-3) got the win in Saturday's 5-4 victory over San Diego, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts in seven innings.
EDGE Analysis
After enduring his worst start of the season during his last time out, Buehler responded Saturday with a customary quality performance. The eight baserunners and five whiffs are subpar for the hard-throwing righty, but Buehler was able to limit the damage to a two-run Fernando Tatis' home run and kept his pitch count in double digits. He currently lines up to pitch next in Cincinnati on Friday.

Buehler (13-3) took the loss in Sunday's 6-4 defeat at the hands of the Giants, allowing six runs on seven hits and one walk with one strikeout in three innings.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler picked the wrong time to have his worst start of the season as first place was on the line in the NL West. The Cy Young contender permitted runs in all three innings in submitting only his second start with less than six innings pitched and lowest strikeout total all year. Look for Buehler to rebound next weekend against San Diego as his 2.31 ERA still leads MLB.

Buehler fired seven innings of two-run ball in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Atlanta, allowing four hits and two walks with five strikeouts. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler got down 2-0 early on a Joc Pederson home run and Travis d'Arnaud RBI double, but Los Angeles stormed back to get the righty off the hook for the loss. He concludes an exceptional August on a high note, pitching at least six innings and permitting no more than two runs in any of his six starts this month. He's slated to take the mound next Sunday in San Francisco.

Buehler allowed an unearned run on three hits and a walk while striking out eight over 6.2 innings Wednesday against the Padres. He did not end up factoring into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler was involved in a pitcher's duel with Blake Snell and fared very well. The only run scored off him came in the second inning after Jake Cronenworth reached second on a throwing error and eventually came around to score on an infield single from Wil Myers. The 27-year-old righty was excellent as he generated 17 whiffs on the way to striking out eight batters. It was his seventh time recording at least eight punchouts over his last eight starts. Buehler hasn't surrendered more than two runs in a start since July 5. He's currently the league leader with a 2.02 ERA and ranks second with a 0.92 WHIP. He'll look to build on his Cy Young resume with a projected start against Atlanta next week.

Buehler (13-2) earned the win Friday against the Mets after tossing 7.2 innings of two-run ball, giving up six hits while striking out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler allowed a homer to Pete Alonso and an RBI single in the eighth, but he was excellent the rest of the way and delivered another strong showing. He's now fanned at least eight in all but one of his last seven starts and has also allowed two or fewer runs in eight appearances in a row. He owns an excellent 2.11 ERA on the season, but that figure improves to 1.50 when counting his appearances post All-Star break.

Buehler allowed one run on four hits and three walks with 10 strikeouts through seven innings, taking a no-decision in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler hit a double-digit strikeout total for the third time this season Saturday night, punching out 10 Mets in a superb performance. The lone run that he yielded came on a Michael Conforto solo homer, the first long ball Buehler has allowed since June 24. While the walks are a little concerning (10 in his last three starts), the Vanderbilt product has allowed just four runs in his last five appearances.

Buehler (12-2) allowed one earned run on four hits and four walks while striking out eight across six innings, earning the win over the Angels on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler allowed a total of eight batters to reach safely over six innings, but only one run scored on a Phil Gosselin double in the fourth frame. It was his sixth consecutive quality start in a row. Over that stretch, he has allowed only five runs in 39.1 innings. The 26-year-old carries a 2.13 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP with a 9.23 K/9 through 147.2 innings. He has the second-most innings pitched and third-most wins in all of baseball.

Buehler (11-2) was tagged with the loss Tuesday against the Astros despite tossing six innings of one-run ball, allowing five hits and three walks while fanning five.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler posted a fifth straight quality start but was unable to record his 12th win of the season, as he was the victim of a lack of run support on a night when the Dodgers mustered just five hits. As such, it's hard to criticize Buehler's outing, especially since he's been one of the best pitchers in the National League throughout the season. He owns a 2.16 ERA with a 0.92 WHIP across 141.2 innings in 2021.

Buehler (11-1) tossed seven scoreless innings in a win over the Giants on Wednesday. He allowed just three hits and two walks while striking out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler was masterful Wednesday evening, throwing 70 of 98 pitches for strikes and allowing just one baserunner to reach scoring position. The 26-year-old has undoubtedly been one of the best starters in baseball this year, registering a quality outing in 18 of his 21 starts. He's gone at least seven while striking out eight or more batters over his last three appearances and has not allowed a home run since June 24. Buehler owns a 2.19 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 139:31 K:BB over 135.2 innings. He's in line for a challenging matchup against the Astros next week.
