Adleman (4-4) beat Jon Lester and the Cubs, as he allowed three runs on six hits, struck out four and walked two in Saturday's 7-4 victory.
EDGE Analysis
Although he ran into trouble and gave up three runs in the fourth, the Reds spotted him a big enough lead to help him get the win. Adleman threw 60 of his 89 pitches for strikes and recorded 14 swing-and-misses. He ends the season with a 4.00 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 47 strikeouts in 69.2 innings.

Adleman (3-4) allowed just two runs on four hits and struck out four over seven innings in the win Monday over St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
Adelman has three quality starts in his past four outings and has allowed more than three runs just once in 12 starts this season. He pitches to contact and has just a 6.0 K/9, and his lack of swing and miss stuff probably limits him to a mid-rotation ceiling. Still, Adelman is having a breakout age 28 season, and with the Reds containing few sure thing starting pitchers, he's putting himself in great position to win a job in 2017.

Adleman allowed two runs on five hits with five strikeouts over 6.1 innings in a no-decision Monday against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Adleman had gone six innings twice this season, but Monday marks the first time he's managed to record an out in the seventh inning. It's also just the third time this season he has allowed fewer than two runs and struck out more than four batters. Adleman owns a 4.06 ERA with a 39:18 K:BB in his first 11 MLB starts, which should put him in consideration for a rotation spot next season.

Adleman (2-4) pitched five innings, allowing four runs on three hits while walking three and striking out four in Wednesday's loss to the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Adleman walked two to lead off the second, and both came around to score on a bases-loaded single by Brewers catcher Manny Pina. The 28-year-old surrendered two more runs in the third after a two-out walk led to a two-run homer from Scooter Gennett. Adleman settled down and went on to retire the next seven batters, but the damage was already done. The right-hander is in the midst of his worst month of the campaign, owning a 2.06 ERA through three September starts (16 innings).

Adleman didn't factor into the decision against the Pirates on Friday, giving up two earned runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie righty was solid for the third straight appearance, with Friday's outing serving as his second quality start in his last three trips to the mound. Adleman did fail to record a strikeout, but was relatively efficient in firing just 90 pitches over his six frames. Although he hasn't recorded a victory since Aug. 19, Adleman has gone at least five innings in all but one of his nine starts this season, including five straight. He'll look to even his record at 3-3 when he takes on the Brewers next Wednesday.

Adleman (2-3) gave up three runs on four hits and a walk over five innings while striking out six in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Home runs by Randal Grichuk and Kolten Wong accounted for all the damage off Adleman, but that was enough on a day when the Reds left 10 men on base. He's now allowed multiple home runs in three straight starts so despite his superficially solid 11:2 K:BB in 16 innings during those starts, he's a risky fantasy play. He's next scheduled to take the mound Saturday in Pittsburgh.

Adleman allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk with four strikeouts over six innings in a loss Tuesday to the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Adleman lasted six innings for the first time since his first start May 1 against Pittsburgh, giving him his second quality start of the season. Unfortunately, though, Adleman gave up two home runs and has now served up five blasts over his past two starts. If he can't fix that problem, his 3.82 ERA is going to start trending upwards real soon, as he doesn't garner nearly enough strikeouts (6.1 K/9) to get around such a big home run issue.

Adleman got another start Wednesday and went five innings while allowing five runs (four earned) on five hits while striking out one and earning a no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
The start was Adleman's second since May 19th, spending the majority of the interim with Triple-A Louisville. Adleman pounded the zone with 51 of 68 pitches for strikes, but was done in by the long ball, serving up three home runs including one to the Rangers' starting pitcher, Yu Darvish. The rough outing raised Adleman's major league ERA from 2.96 to 3.68 over six starts, not quite matching his 2.38 ERA over 10 starts in Triple-A. Adleman holds a 7.28 K:9 rate throughout the minors, so don't expect him to be fanning a ton of big league hitters going forward.

Adleman (2-1) fired five scoreless frames in Friday's 9-2 victory over the Dodgers, giving up five hits and two walks. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Just recalled from Triple-A, Adleman was solid while firing 57 of 88 pitches for strikes. The 28-year-old righty could be headed back down to the minors but given his stellar performance, may have a chance to stick in the rotation for the duration of the 2016 campaign.

Adleman is scheduled to start Friday's game against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Adleman was recently recalled to take the spot of Michael Lorenzen, who is on the bereavement list. The Reds could choose to option Adleman back to Triple-A following Friday's start, but he also could be given the chance to stick in the rotation going forward. Adleman posted a 3.72 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 16:9 K:BB in four big league starts (19.1 innings) earlier this season. His 2.38 ERA and 1.09 WHIP at Triple-A are notably more impressive, but his K-rate was also a subpar 16.7 percent in the minors, so it's hard to expect him to carry that same success over against big league hitters this time around. Keyvius Sampson recently received a spot start, but it looks like he will head back to the bullpen for now.
