Ted Lilly didn't report to Dodgers' camp on Tuesday because his wife gave birth to a girl.
He'll be a day or two behind the other pitchers in camp, but shouldn't have any problem getting ready for Opening Day. Lilly, 36, posted a 3.97 ERA and 158/51 K/BB ratio across 192 2/3 innings last season and should remain a useful starting pitcher in mixed formats.

Ted Lilly ended his 2012 on a high note Wednesday, limiting the Diamondbacks to just three hits in seven scoreless innings of a 7-5 Dodgers victory.
He struck out five and walked just one in improving to 12-14. Lilly allowed just one run in his final 20 1/3 innings this season. Buoyed by an excellent second half, Lilly will finish the year with a 3.97 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 158/51 K/BB ratio compiled over 192 2/3 innings. Lilly has now finished with an ERA under 4.00 for each of the past four years. He'll make $12 million at the age of 36 in 2012.

Ted Lilly hurled 6 1/3 scoreless innings Friday in a victory over the Padres.
Lilly struck out seven and combined with Mike MacDougal, Kenley Jansen and Javy Guerra on a shutout. He's allowed three runs or fewer in 11 straight starts, and he has his season ERA down to 4.12, which seems like a minor miracle given how he was throwing a couple of months ago.

Ted Lilly yielded three runs -- two earned -- in five innings Tuesday in a no-decision against the Nationals.
He struck out nine, and allowed four hits and three walks. Lilly has now turned in seven straight starts of three runs allowed or fewer, lowering his ERA from 5.08 to 4.37. No one claimed him on waivers when given the chance last month -- he's in the first year of a three-year, $33 million contract -- but perhaps a strong finish will allow the Dodgers to successfully shop him this winter.

Ted Lilly yielded two runs in 5 2/3 innings Wednesday in a victory over the Padres.
Lilly has now turned in seven straight starts of three runs allowed or fewer, lowering his ERA from 5.08 to 4.39. Considering that he was in the first year of a three-year, $33 million contract, the Dodgers likely would have given him away before the trade deadline. He's pitching a whole lot better now, but no one claimed him on waivers when given the chance earlier this month.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Monday that Ted Lilly (neck) is on pace to make his next start Friday against the Rockies.
While Lilly left Saturday's start with neck stiffness, Mattingly said Monday that it had more to do with the way he slept than an actual injury. The southpaw is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Tuesday, but the neck shouldn't be a lingering issue.

Ted Lilly left Saturday's start against the Rockies in the bottom of the fifth inning because of neck stiffness.
Lilly woke up with neck stiffness early this week in Milwaukee and he said his right side felt worse as the game went along Saturday. It has not yet been determined if he will make his next start.
