Ted Lilly left Saturday's start against the Rockies in the bottom of the fifth inning with an apparent injury.
The exact nature of the injury isn't yet known. Lilly gave up three hits (including a solo homer to Todd Helton) while striking out five and walking three before getting pulled with two outs in the fifth. Stay tuned for an update on his status.

Ted Lilly was a tough-luck loser on Tuesday night after tossing eight innings of two-run ball against the Phillies.
He was outdueled by Cliff Lee, who also smacked a home run off him. Lilly struck out five, giving up six hits and a walk. He's allowed just three runs over his last two starts, covering 14 innings, after posting a 7.01 ERA in June and 5.20 ERA in July. We're not quite ready to trust him in mixed leagues, but we might after a few more quality outings.

Ted Lilly held the Padres to just one run on four hits in six innings of work on Wednesday, but got stuck with the loss in Los Angeles' 3-0 setback at home.
He struck out seven and walked one. Lilly's lone mistake came in the sixth, where he served up Jason Bartlett's second home run of the season. The six-inning outing was his first in three starts, and just his third in his past 10. Now the owner of a 4.86 ERA and 1.26 WHIP, he'll get the Phillies at home his next time out.

Ted Lilly surrendered six runs in five innings Saturday in a no-decision versus the Nationals.
Lilly gave up six runs for the fourth time in seven starts. In 2009, he did that twice in 27 starts over the course of the season. Lilly's ERA is back over 5.00 now, and with the rate at which he's giving up homers, things don't figure to get a whole lot better.

Ted Lilly yielded four earned runs over 6 2/3 innings in Sunday's loss to the Diamondbacks.
Lilly was pretty sharp, striking out nine and walking two while giving up just four hits. In fact, opposing pitcher Daniel Hudson drove in three of the runs. But the Dodgers couldn't get anything going against Hudson so Lilly takes his 10th loss of the season. We're expecting Lilly to improve on his current 4.83 ERA over the second half of the season.

Ted Lilly held the Padres to one run on four hits and two walks in five innings of work on Sunday, improving to 6-9 in Los Angeles' 4-1 win over the Padres.
He notched seven strikeouts for just the third time in 19 starts this season. Through 107 innings, he's posted a 4.79 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 78/22 K/BB ratio. That first number should come down, but he's still little more than a fringe option in 10-to-12 team mixed leagues for the time being.

Ted Lilly allowed three runs on six hits in six innings of work on Tuesday evening in a loss to the Mets.
Lilly's start was pushed back to Tuesday because he had been dealing with elbow tendinitis for close to a month. He struck out three, gave up two walks and a pair of homers. Lilly has now allowed 20 runs in his last four starts. His ERA, which was down to 3.98, is up to 4.94 to go with a 5-9 record.

Ted Lilly (elbow) will have his next scheduled start pushed back to Tuesday night.
Lilly has been dealing with elbow tendinitis for close to a month and has been unable to throw pre-start bullpen sessions. Rubby De La Rosa will start in his place Monday against the Mets, according to manager Don Mattingly.

Ted Lilly was tagged for six runs in 4 2/3 innings by the Twins in a loss Tuesday.
That's two consecutive starts that Lilly has given up six runs in 4 2/3 innings, doing the same against the Tigers on Wednesday. He's turned in back-to-back-back poor performances -- allowing 17 runs in those games -- after a fine five-start run over the previous few weeks. His ERA, which was down to 3.98, is back up to 4.97 now. Thankfully he's done with AL teams and will take on the Mets Monday.
