Jungmann was reassigned to Double-A Biloxi on Thursday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jungmann has experienced massive struggles at both the MLB and Triple-A levels this season, leading to him taking a "mental break" from pitching earlier this month. After spending time at the organization's facility in Arizona, Jungmann will return to the mound for Biloxi, where he'll be active and available Thursday night. At this point, the Brewers can't expect to get much, if anything, from Jungman, so they'll likely bring him along slowly as he attempts to rediscover his big-league form.

Jungmann was sent to the Brewers spring training facility in Arizona to take what was described as a "mental break" from pitching, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jungmann posted a 9.15 ERA over five starts in the majors this season, and didn't fare much better at Triple-A, posting a 9.87 mark over eight games started. Some of those numbers can be blamed on the hitter-friendly environment in Colorado Springs, but five of those starts were on the road, so the performance of Jungmann has certainly played a role. The team hasn't disclosed an exact plan for Jungmann's "rehab," but it will likely involve some combination of simulated games and bullpen sessions, all in an effort to get the 26-year-old back on track.

Jungmann was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Jungmann struggled mightily so far this season, currently holding am 0-4 record with a 9.15 ERA and 1.94 WHIP. Although it is a rebuilding year for Milwaukee, the Brewers thought it would be best to send him to the minors and build up his confidence again. He'll slot into the Triple-A rotation and could return to the majors fairly soon if he is more successful with the Triple-A club. To take his spot on the 25-man roster, right-hander David Goforth was recalled from Triple-A.

Jungmann (0-4) was ripped for five runs on six hits over just 3.2 innings against the Cubs on Thursday. He walked three and struck out just two.
EDGE Analysis
Pretty much everything Jungmann did well last season, he's bungling so far this year -- his velocity is down, his strikeouts are down, his walks are way up (13:13 K:BB), he's giving up more homers, he's stranding fewer runners, and he's allowing harder contact overall. In short, this April has been an unmitigated disaster for the 26-year-old, and it wouldn't be shocking to see him end up in the minors for some fixing soon.

Jungmann will not start as scheduled Wednesday with the news that Wednesday's matchup with the Cubs has been postponed.
EDGE Analysis
While Jungmann will not take the mound Wednesday, he will not have to wait long to do so, as he has already been announced as the starting pitcher for Thursday's matinee matchup with the Cubs, according to Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Jungmann remained winless while picking up his third loss of 2016 in Thursday's game against the Twins. He pitched four innings, allowing three runs, four hits and six walks while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the former first-rounder's success last season, it is hard to be certain that his place in the team's rotation is safe. In his last three starts, Jungmann has allowed 15 runs and 18 hits while walking eight. The right-hander has been so bad that Thursday's outing actually improved his ERA, which now sits at 8.47.

Jungmann (0-2) allowed four runs on six hits and one walk while striking out six over six innings, but took the loss Saturday at Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
Jungmann got off to a fast start and was able to keep the Pirates off the scoreboard through three innings before getting touched up for three runs in the fourth inning of a game he received no offensive support. After posting a solid start in his first outing, he's now allowed 12 runs over his last eight innings of work covering two outings. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Twins.

Jungmann (0-1) was demolished by the Cardinals on Monday, as he allowed eight runs on as many hits over two innings. He struck out two and walked one.
EDGE Analysis
Jungmann wasn't just dinked and dunked to death either. The Cardinals touched him up for five doubles and a pair of triples as they kept marching around the bases. Jungmann doesn't have the kind of big stuff that can bail him out when his control or command desert him, and the Cardinals punished him every time he left a ball over the plate on Monday. His ERA sits at 11.57, and it's going to take multiple quality starts in a row to erase this disaster.

Jungmann threw five innings, allowing two runs (one earned), three hits and two walks while striking out one and taking a no-decision Wednesday against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Jungmann was pulled with a 3-2 lead by manager Craig Counsell after five innings and 80 pitches, not because of total pitches thrown but the stress in getting there. The 26-year-old allowed a runner to reach base in four of his five innings of work, and was helped out of jams by stellar defense -- specifically, two inning-ending double plays and Giant runner cut down attempting to steal. Jungmann doesn't have any one put-away pitch yet, and until he does, he won't offer much fantasy value outside of the deepest leagues.

Jungmann will start Wednesday's game against the Giants in place of Matt Garza (shoulder), Tom Haudricourt of the Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Garza is set to be evaluated further by team doctors Monday, but manager Craig Counsell has gone ahead and ruled him out of Wednesday's matchup, as the veteran continues to battle soreness in his throwing shoulder. In steps Jungmann, who now temporarily slots in as the Brewers' third starter.
