Wright (knee) is unlikely to return before the All-Star break, Michael Silverman of the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Alex Cora said Wright has not suffered a setback, but the Red Sox have nonetheless slowed him down in his rehab. Cora cited Boston's pitching depth as a reason not to rush Wright back. He had a PRP injection earlier this week.

Wright had a PRP injection in his injured left knee Monday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright may still return before the All-Star Break, but he won't be returning when first eligible Tuesday. Brian Johnson is likely to keep his place in Boston's rotation while Wright remains out.

Wright was placed on the 10-day disabled list with left knee inflammation Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Wright was lit up for 10 runs in 3.1 innings in his last start Friday against the Mariners, a result which now looks as if it may have been injury-related. The DL assignment was made retroactive to June 23, leaving him eligible to come back on July 3, though it's unclear how much time he'll end up needing to miss. Justin Haley was recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket to take his place on the roster and perhaps in the rotation, though Hector Velazquez and Brian Johnson could also be options.

Wright (2-1) allowed one earned run on five hits and two walks while striking out four across seven innings to take the loss Saturday against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Wright was hit with the hard-luck loss as he was outpitched by Wade LeBlanc in an unlikely pitcher's duel. That shouldn't take away from his effort, however, as he didn't allow a hit after the third inning and held the Mariners without an extra-base hit in his seven innings of work. In three starts this season, Wright has given up only one earned run across 20.2 innings.

Wright went 6.2 scoreless innings in a no-decision Monday against the Orioles, allowing four hits and three walks with five strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Wright threw first-pitch strikes to 20 of 28 batters and induced nine groundball outs to stifle the home team. He scattered baserunners to great effect and only got into a spot of trouble when he loaded the bases prior to his removal in the seventh. Luckily the bullpen escaped the jam, but the offense waited until the 12th inning to get on the board. Wright now has an impressive 22.2-inning shutout streak to his name and will take a microscopic 1.21 ERA into this weekend's scheduled start against the Mariners.

Wright allowed two hits and three walks while striking out six over seven scoreless innings in Tuesday's 6-0 win over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Wright was making his first start of the season and was on point after a shaky first inning. He allowed three baserunners in the first, but avoided damage when Detroit's Leonys Martin was thrown out at home. From that point on, no Tiger reached second base off Wright, who retired the final 13 batters faced and lowered his ERA to 1.57 over 23 innings. With Drew Pomeranz (biceps) on the disabled list, Wright will get at least one more start, which at this point is scheduled next Tuesday in Baltimore.

Wright will stay in the starting rotation until Drew Pomeranz (biceps) returns from injury, freelance sports writer Maureen Mullen reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright will make at least one more start following Tuesday's outing against Detroit, with one of Boston's rotation pitchers headed to the shelf. He's accrued a 2.25 ERA and 1.19 WHIP across 16 innings, but hasn't started a game since the 2017 campaign.

Wright will get a spot start Tuesday against the Tigers, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright will be making his first start of the 2018 campaign. He's put up stellar numbers out of the bullpen, posting a 2.25 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with 14 strikeouts and 10 walks over 16 innings. The Red Sox have elected to give Wright the nod following Monday's off day to give the starting rotation two extra days of rest.

Wright allowed one hit and three walks while striking out four over three scoreless innings of relief in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
This was the third straight start by Drew Pomeranz that required Wright to throw multiple relief innings. Over those three starts, Pomeranz has allowed 13 runs in 13.1 innings while Wright has upstaged him, allowing just two runs in 10.2 innings. Manager Alex Cora confirmed to Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald that Pomeranz, who has a 6.81 ERA over eight starts, will make his next start, so Wright remains in the bullpen for now.

Wright (1-0) allowed two hits and a walk while striking out one over three scoreless innings to earn his first win of the season Saturday against the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
For the second time this season, Wright came on for an ineffective Drew Pomeranz and gave Boston multiple innings out of the bullpen -- he pitched 4.2 innings in the previous Pomeranz start. Despite what appears to be a potential change in the rotation, Pomeranz will remain a starter while Wright maintains a long-relief role in the 'pen.
