Smith went 2-for-4 with two home runs, four RBI, three runs, a walk and a strikeout against the Padres on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Smith had one of his best games this season, and he homered twice for the first time since June 20 last year. Smith sent a three-run shot to right field during the third inning, and he later added his second with a solo bomb to left field in the fifth. The 33-year-old outfielder tallies six home runs this year, and he continues to destroy right-handed pitchers to the tune of a .856 OPS in 2016.

Smith is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
With left-hander John Lamb on the hill for the Reds, the Mariners will use Franklin Gutierrez in left field in place of Smith. Smith generally sits out against left-handed pitchers, but he should draw back into the lineup for Sunday's matchup against righty Alfredo Simon.

Smith went 1-for-3 with two walks and three runs in Tuesday's 10-0 win over the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
As per usual, Smith entered the lineup with right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez on the mound, and his keen eye at the plate allowed him to grind out a few at-bats against the Orioles staff. Smith will probably remain a strict platoon player for the rest of his career, but he's often a useful low-cost DFS option when he's in the lineup against a right-hander.

EDGE Analysis
As is often the case, Smith finds himself on the bench with a southpaw in Hector Santiago taking the hill for the opposition. Franklin Gutierrez replaces Smith in right field.

Smith went 2-for-5 with a solo homer Saturday against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Smith's fourth homer of the season came in the first inning, and was all the run support that starting pitcher Wade Miley would need in a shutout victory over the Royals. He ended the month on a four-game hitting streak while homering in each of his last two contests to raise his slash line to .298/.423/.544.

Smith went 1-for-2 with a solo homer and two walks Friday against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Smith's third blast came in the sixth inning and was the only run the Mariners would score in a 1-0 victory. He's now hit safely in four of his last five games, and his slash line sits at.288/.424/.500.

Smith went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and two runs Sunday against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Smith's second blast of the season came in the ninth inning to put the game out of reach in a Mariners victory. He's now collected four hits in his last 11-bats to raise his slash line to .308/.429/.487, though he's only received 34 at-bats this month.

Smith got the start at DH on Sunday, going 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI in a 4-3 loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
He's off to a strong start to his 2016, slashing .318/.464/.500 through 18 at-bats with a 6:5 BB:K. Smith won't offer much power or speed, but he could be a solid source of runs and RBI this season if he continues to hit near to the top of the M's order when he's in the lineup.
