Smith is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
With left-hander John Lamb on the hill for the Reds, the Mariners will use Franklin Gutierrez in left field in place of Smith. Smith generally sits out against left-handed pitchers, but he should draw back into the lineup for Sunday's matchup against righty Alfredo Simon.
