Lugo allowed one run on four hits and four walks while striking out two over five innings in a 3-2 win over the Twins on Saturday. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Lugo threw a respectable game before being lifted for a pinch hitter in the fifth inning after 91 pitches. While his only run allowed came on a solo homer to Eddie Rosario, the rookie right-hander allowed men to reach base in all five frames and had to pitch out of jams in the fourth and fifth. Overall, he's been solid since assuming a role in the Mets rotation in late August - for the month of September he's 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA, though his 5.79 K/9 ratio leaves much to be desired from a fantasy perspective.

Lugo will have his start pushed to Sunday due to a blister on his finger, Marc Carig of Newsday Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The blister is a new development, but the Mets seem confident that the issue can be resolved with just an extra day's rest. This shift will bump Bartolo Colon to Saturday's slate, while Lugo will now face Williams Perez on Sunday.

Lugo continued his solid run of starts, tossing seven innings of one-run ball to earn the victory in the Mets' 5-1 win over the Nationals on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Lugo has 2.19 ERA in his four starts, stepping into the breach created by the absences of Matt Harvey, Steven Matz and now, Jacob deGrom. He scattered six hits without allowing a walk and struck out four in the victory. Lugo is locked into the third or fourth spot in the rotation; that number dependent on how many starters are out injured.

Lugo (2-2) threw six solid innings in a start against Miami on Tuesday, allowing a pair of runs on five hits and a walk, earning the win. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Lugo has been solid in his three starts since earning a starting role, going 2-1 with a 2.55 ERA. Lugo, a 26-year-old rookie, was certainly not expected to start games for the Mets this season, but with Matt Harvey lost for the season and Steven Matz still on the DL with a shoulder injury, Lugo has made the most of his opportunity. He has 28 strikeouts in 34.2 innings, a respectable if not outstanding number backed up by a 8.7 K/9 minor league rate. Lugo likely won't see many more starts going forward, however, as the Mets are hoping Steven Matz will return next week.

Lugo (calf) has been confirmed as the starting pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Lugo left his last outing early after suffering a cramp in his right calf, but the setback will not prevent him from taking the mound Tuesday night. Lugo has thrown the ball well for the Mets this season, posting a 2.51 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and 24:10 K:BB in 28.2 innings over 11 games, including two starts.

Lugo (cramp) will start Tuesday against the Marlins, ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
Robert Gsellman is starting in Steven Matz's spot on Sunday while Rafael Montero is being promoted to start Monday in place of Jacob deGrom (rest). The rotation has an opening Tuesday, which will be filled by Lugo, who has been solid in his two starts and appears over the right calf cramp that forced him out of Thursday's start after five innings. The team hopes that Matz (shoulder) will come off the disabled list and start Wednesday.

Lugo left Thursday's game against St. Louis with a right calf cramp, Newsday's Marc Carig reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander shut out the Cardinals through five before aggravating his calf on a warm-up pitch. While his status moving forward is uncertain, the diagnosis of a cramp suggests it's a short-term concern. Steven Matz (shoulder) is expected to be ready to go Tuesday and will presumably pushing Lugo to a long-relief role.

Lugo left Thursday's game with an apparent injury, Maria Guardado of the Star-Ledger reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lugo appeared to land awkwardly on the mound as he was warming up for the bottom of the sixth inning. He had worked around two hits and three walks to blank the Cardinals over five innings prior to exiting the game. Steven Matz (shoulder) is expected to be ready to take Lugo's rotation spot next Tuesday.

Lugo (0-2) allowed three runs on seven hits while walking one and striking out three over 6.2 innings, but was the losing pitcher in Friday's 8-1 loss to San Francisco.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old was solid in his first start of the season but, despite his efforts, failed to outlast opposing starter Johnny Cueto for the Mets' third straight loss. Even though it was only a spot start -- Lugo had made nine relief appearances this season prior to filling in for Steven Matz -- with a 3.04 ERA and 2.68 FIP over 23.2 innings pitched, the right-hander could've earned another time through the rotation.

Lugo will start Friday against San Francisco with Steven Matz scratched due to discomfort in his shoulder, Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lugo will get a spot start as the Mets hope Matz will miss just one start. However, Lugo could make a case to get more starts with a strong outing.
