Atlanta Braves starter Sean Newcomb replaced the incumbent Kevin Gausman in the third inning of Monday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, and he proceeded to toss 4 2/3 scoreless innings while striking out six batters. Newcomb has been fantastic coming out of the bullpen for the Braves this season as he owns a 1.42 ERA and 1.00 WHIP as a reliever. With how ineffective Gausman has been as of late, Newcomb's return to the starting rotation may come quicker than anticipated.
