Manaea (11-8) allowed two earned runs on five hits and two walks over 7.2 innings in the Athletics' 7-6 win over the Mariners on Monday. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty cruised through his nearly eight innings of work on just 89 pitches, looking exponentially sharper than in a 2.2-inning stint against the Dodgers just six days prior, a start where he'd thrown just 12 less pitches in five fewer innings. Manaea has now generated four quality starts in his last six trips to the mound, going 3-0 with one no-decision in those outings. He's also just one win away from equaling the career high he established last season, a victory he'll look to garner against the Astros in a scheduled turn next Saturday.

Manaea (10-8) got the loss Tuesday, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out one over 2.2 innings against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Manaea struggled from the get-go and needed 77 pitches (47 strikes) just to record 10 outs. The damage could have been worse, as he exited with two runners on, but reliever Emilio Pagan ended the threat there without further damage. It was the lefty shortest outing of the season, but he still sports a solid 3.50 ERA and 1.05 WHIP over 24 starts. He'll look to turn it around Monday against the Mariners.

Manaea (10-7) picked up the win Wednesday in an 8-3 victory over the Blue Jays, allowing one run on five hits and two walks over six innings while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
It's the southpaw's third quality start in his last four outings and 13th of the season. Manaea hasn't been able to completely recapture his dynamic early-season form, but he does have a 3.37 ERA and 21:6 K:BB in 34.2 innings over his last six starts. He'll look to keep his momentum going Tuesday at home against the Dodgers.

Manaea (9-7) allowed three earned runs on nine hits over five innings in a loss to the Rockies on Friday. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The good news was that Manaea didn't give up a barrage of runs in the prime hitting conditions of Coors Field. On the other hand, he got minimal run support from an offense that was stymied by Kyle Freeland, who held Oakland batters to five hits and three walks over six scoreless innings. Manaea encouragingly refrained from issuing any free passes for the second straight start, and he was pulled after just 74 pitches. He did surrender a solo home run to Nolan Arenado in his final inning and also saw Charlie Blackmon tag him for a pair of doubles, but he limited the damage overall. Despite the defeat, Manaea managed to extend his streak of not allowing more than three earned runs to 10 consecutive starts, a stretch that was initiated June 5. He'll look to bounce back and hit double-digit wins for the second consecutive season against the Blue Jays next Wednesday.

Manea took the no-decision Sunday, yielding two runs on four hits while striking out five across 6.2 innings in the 6-5 win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Overall, it was a pretty strong outing for Manaea and his first start without allowing a home run or walk since June 22. Coincidentally, June 22 was also the last time he struck out at least five batters. The 26-year-old southpaw will carry a 3.38 ERA and 88:24 K:BB into his next start in Colorado on Friday.

Manaea allowed three runs on seven hits in four innings Tuesday against the Astros, striking out four and walking one in a no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Manaea was lifted after throwing 83 pitches (59 strikes), marking the first time in seven starts that the lefty didn't go at least five innings. Prior to Tuesday's outing, Manaea had thrown five consecutive quality starts. The 26-year-old still sports a respectable 3.44 ERA and an excellent 0.99 WHIP to go along with a .213 batting average against. He'll have one more start before the All-Star break, a matchup against the Giants in San Francisco.

Manaea threw seven innings Wednesday against the Padres, allowing a pair of runs on four hits and two walks, striking out just one batter. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
The lack of strikeouts is something of a concern, coming off a two-strikeout performance his last time out against the Tigers. Still, he managed to avoid the barrel of the bat outside of a second-inning Christian Villanueva home run. He's now given up three or fewer runs in six straight starts. He'll look to keep that streak going Monday against the Astros.

Manaea (8-6) picked up the win Thursday against the Tigers. He allowed two runs over 6.0 innings, notching two strikeouts while issuing one walk.
EDGE Analysis
Though Manaea was hardly fooling any Tigers hitters with just two punchouts, the lefty was still effective and put his team in position to get the victory. He has now won each of his last three decisions, allowing just six runs over 19.0 innings. He's lined up to make his next start Tuesday against the Padres.

Manaea (7-6) notched the win Friday with seven innings of one-run, five-hit ball, walking none and striking out seven White Sox batters in Game 1 of the doubleheader.
EDGE Analysis
Manaea recorded a strike on 78 of his 106 pitches, including 12 swings-and-misses. Across his past two starts, the southpaw has fanned 10 and walked only one while posting a 3.38 ERA in 13.1 innings. He lines up for another favorable matchup early next week against the Tigers, depending on how the Athletics shuffle the rotation following the twin bill.

Manaea allowed two runs on four hits and four walks while striking out two over 5.1 innings in Tuesday's loss to the Rangers. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Manaea left in line for the win and surrendered fewer than three runs for the first time in seven starts, but it was still not the sharpest of outings. The lefty induced only three swinging strikes and threw just 48 of 90 pitches for strikes en route to issuing a season-high four walks and matching a season low with the two punchouts. The 26-year-old also yielded a pair of solo home runs and has now been taken deep at least once in seven straight starts. Following a terrific April that featured a no-hitter, Manaea is sporting a 6.63 ERA since the start of May. Next up is a home start against the Royals on Sunday.
