Oberg (3-0) earned the save Wednesday against the Diamondbacks, tossing a scoreless frame with two strikeouts and a walk at Coors Field.
EDGE Analysis
With two outs, Oberg issued a free pass to Ildemaro Vargas, but shut the door by striking out Eduardo Escobar for the final out of the game. The 29-year-old has been solid primarily in middle relief for the Rockies, but was called upon for the save opportunity with Wade Davis nursing a minor oblique strain on the injured list. Oberg has posted a 1.80 ERA and 1.12 WHIP through 22 appearances.

Oberg (2-0) pitched a scoreless ninth inning with two strikeouts and earned the win as the Rockies took an 8-6 walkoff victory over the Orioles on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
His first appearance in six days was a successful one, and Oberg can thank Trevor Story for providing the winning home run. The right-hander has a 1.69 ERA and 1.13 WHIP through 19 appearances and 21.1 innings this season, and is currently in line for saves with regular closer Wade Davis (oblique) out.

Oberg will be the Rockies' primary closer while Wade Davis (oblique) is on the injured list, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
This wouldn't have been a surprise before the season, but it is somewhat surprising given how Oberg has pitched of late. He has only allowed two runs over his last 12 appearances (11.2 innings), but he has six walks and just three strikeouts over that stretch. Generating weak contact has been Oberg's top skill in the big leagues, but his 47.4 percent groundball rate is easily the worst mark of his career and the first time that number has been below 50 percent. Davis' oblique strain is not considered severe, so he should return sometime in June.

Oberg signed a one-year, $1.3 million contract with the Rockies on Thursday, avoiding arbitration, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oberg was one of the Rockies' top relievers in 2018, compiling a 2.45 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 57:12 K:BB in 58.2 innings of relief. Look for the right-hander to reprise his setup role in 2019 .

Oberg was activated from paternity leave prior to Friday's game against the Braves, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oberg will rejoin the active roster after missing the past couple games due to the birth of his child. Across 35 appearances this season, Oberg has logged a 3.12 ERA and 1.24 WHIP. In a corresponding move, Harrison Musgrave was optioned to the minors.

Oberg was placed on the paternity list Tuesday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oberg will miss between one and three games while on the paternity list, so he'll be back with the Rockies for Friday's game against the Braves at the latest. Garrett Hampson was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque to take his place on the roster.

Oberg picked up the win in relief Friday in the Rockies' 11-10 triumph over the Diamondbacks. He retired two of the three batters he faced and notched a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
Oberg allowed an inherited runner to score on a two-out double by A.J. Pollock in the bottom of the sixth before inducing an inning-ending popout. The reliever then watched the Rockies offense rally for six runs in the top of the seventh to turn an 8-5 deficit into an 11-8 edge, allowing Oberg to raise his record to 5-0. While the five wins to go with a 2.89 ERA and 1.11 WHIP has kept Oberg's fantasy value higher than most other middle relievers this season, the randomness of those victories along with a poor 7.1 K/9 rate don't make him an especially appealing pickup, even in NL-only formats.

Oberg (back) was activated from the disabled list Wednesday, Nick Groke of The Athletic Denver reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oberg landed on the disabled list earlier this month, and he is ready to rejoin the big club after making two rehab appearances. Oberg has split his time between the majors and Triple-A this season and has an option remaining, so he will have to throw well to hold down his spot.

Oberg (back) is slated to start a rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oberg has been on the shelf since June 10 with a back strain but appears to be closing in on a return to the Rockies' bullpen. Over 16 appearances this year, he's posted a 4.08 ERA and 1.25 WHIP.

Oberg was placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday with a back strain, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oberg last pitched on Thursday, tossing a scoreless inning of relief against the Reds. It's currently unclear if he'll be sidelined for longer than the required 10 days, but reliever Jerry Vasto has had his contract selected from Triple-A Albuquerque to fill the void in the bullpen in the meantime.
