With Drew Stubbs returning from the DL, Texas opted to send Rua down to Round Rock. Although his numbers haven't been spectacular, Rua has held his own in The Show this season, as he's posted a .266/.341/.414 line.

The 26-year-old is now slashing .284/.363/.486 on the season.

Rua will head back to the bench after drawing into the lineup Tuesday when the Rangers faced southpaw CC Sabathia. Rua's splits (.373 average, 1.042 OPS) against left-handers make him an excellent option when the Rangers face southpaws, but his relative inability to pick up right-handed pitching (.212 average, .671 OPS) prevents him being an everyday option.
