Rua went 2-for-2 with a three-run home run and two walks during Thursday's win over Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
The injury to Carlos Gomez (hamstring) and demotion of Jurickson Profar has opened the door for more consistent at-bats for Rua going forward. Rua's ability to play multiple positions helps, and he sports a respectable .273/.325/.432 slash line against left-handed hurlers over the past three seasons, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him carve out a platoon role against southpaws. He's still nothing more than a speculative grab in deep seasonal settings and low-priced flier in daily contests, though.

Rua is batting sixth and playing first base Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The absence of Carlos Gomez (hamstring) is allowing Rua to occupy more starts. He'll stare down the Phillies' Nick Pivetta and could help deep-mixed fantasy players desperate for at-bats.

Rua smacked a three-run homer in Tuesday's 11-0 win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Rua's long ball capped up a five-run first inning for the Rangers, who ended up totaling two more runs Tuesday that they had compiled in the previous four games combined. Rua is still sitting on a .173/.232/.308 batting line for the season, which has prevented him from mounting a serious run at displacing Delino DeShields as the team's everyday left fielder. Don't expect Rua to pick up more than a couple starts per week, with most of his at-bats likely to come against left-handed pitching.

Rua is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Astros, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was recently reported that Rua would be taking over as the Rangers' everyday left fielder in an effort to elevate his batting performance. However, Tuesday's absence from the lineup will mark the third time over the last four games that he's been held out of the lineup. With Rua out, Delino DeShields will start in left field.

Rua finished 2-for-5 with a single and a grand slam during Wednesday's 14-3 win over the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Making his second start after Jeff Bannister named him the everyday left-fielder, Rua broke the game open when he bashed a ball over the right field fence with the bases loaded in the eighth inning. He added a single to give him three hits in eight at-bats since joining the regular lineup and could find himself on the fantasy radar if he continues to make the most of his opportunity.

Rua is going to take over as the Rangers' everyday left fielder, starting even against right-handed pitchers, T.R. Sullivan from MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rua is hitting just .115/.179/.115 so far this season, but manager Jeff Banister likes how he has looked in some of his at-bats so far this season. "His at-bats haven't always looked that great, but some have looked like Rua last year," Banister said. "To get that look, he needs extended games to get in that rhythm."

Rua went 2-for-3 with a walk and three runs in Sunday's 8-1 win over the A's.
EDGE Analysis
Rua was a thorn in the side of the A's throughout the afternoon despite hitting out of the sixth spot in the order, and he scored each of the three times he reached safely. The 27-year-old platoon outfielder had been hitless in his first two starts of the season and offers some extra-base hit and home-run upside in what is expected to be a part-time duty.

Rua is starting in left field and batting sixth for the Rangers' game with the Indians on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The Rangers seem to still be sorting out their left field situation, so even though Jurickson Profar got the start on Opening Day, Rua will get the call for Texas' second game of the season. Rua will face left-hander Martin Perez, which bodes well for the 27-year-old given the .795 OPS he posted against southpaws last season.

Rua started in left field and went 1-for-3 with a home run in Saturday's spring training win over Oakland. He's hitting .327 with three home runs this spring.
EDGE Analysis
The left field situation in Texas remains murky as Rua, Jurickson Profar and Delino DeShields have all had good springs and remain in the mix.

Rua will be recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports
EDGE Analysis
Rua will once again be the beneficiary of Shin-Soo Choo (forearm) heading the disabled list. In 203 major league at-bats this season, he is slashing .266/.341/.414 with 20 RBI and seven home runs. Rua may be in line for an extended stay this time around, as Choo is likely to miss the rest of the season.
