Rua was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
A spot was needed for Joey Gallo's return from the concussion DL, and Rua was the corresponding roster casualty. The 27-year-old went 2-for-7 (.286) during his brief stint with the Rangers, and he's now sporting an unsightly .208/.282/.340 line in 106 at-bats for the big club this season. He'll likely return sometime after rosters expand, but he isn't expected to see much playing time when he does.

Rua was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
In addition to being recalled, Rua is in Monday's lineup and starting in left field. Rua has yet to impress in the majors this season, as he owns an underwhelming .202/.275/.343 line. In a corresponding move, the Rangers optioned Phil Gosselin to Round Rock.

Rua was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
A spot was needed for Saturday's starter, Tyson Ross (finger), and Rua was the roster casualty. He made for an obvious candidate for demotion; after all, he hadn't seen the field since his return on July 31. Rua figures to be back no later than Sept. 1.

Rua was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
The shuttling continues for Rua this season, as he'll return to the majors after the Rangers sold off some of their top assets. However, he'll likely act as nothing more than a bench bat given his .202/.275/.343 slash line in Arlington this season.

Rua was optioned back to Triple-A Round Rock on Friday, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the Rangers activating Carlos Gomez and Mike Napoli on Friday, both Rua and Jurickson Profar will head to Round Rock to free up a pair of roster spots. Rua appeared in 45 games for the Rangers but hit just .202 with 11 RBI and 41 strikeouts in 99 at-bats.

Rua went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
It looked as though Rua would only be a fixture in the lineup against left-handed pitching following Adrian Beltre's return from the disabled list last week, but with Mike Napoli (back) since landing on the DL and Beltre almost certain to join Napoli after suffering an ankle injury Tuesday, that may no longer be the case. Because of those two injuries, Rua entered the lineup at first base Wednesday, despite the Mets bringing a right-hander in Zach Wheeler to the hill. It's expected that the Rangers will bring another position player up from the minors to take Beltre's spot on the roster Friday, but Rua should still be in line for a near-everyday role while both Napoli and Beltre are on the shelf.

Rua went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Tuesday's 9-5 win over the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Aside from drawing the free pass to load the bases in the bottom of the eighth inning, Rua had another forgettable night, as he struck out in his other three plate appearances. He's now recorded two or more strikeouts in each of his last four starts, collecting just one hit in those contests. With Adrian Beltre (calf) returning from the disabled list earlier this week, the Rangers have more bats on hand to fill out the lineup any given day, which will likely translate to fewer at-bats for Rua while he continues to slump.

Rua went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Rua has been seeing regular at-bats in left field since Carlos Gomez (hamstring) hit the disabled list in mid May, but it might not be long until he settles back into the smaller half of a platoon at the position. He's now struck out eight times in his last four starts, dropping his season batting line to .214/.275/.381. With Adrian Beltre (calf) on track to return from the disabled list this week and take back his regular duties at third base, it's likely that Joey Gallo will see more frequent starts in left field, leaving fewer opportunities available for Rua.

Rua is out of the lineup Saturday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Mike Napoli will take over at first base and Delino DeShields will draw into the lineup in left field with Rua sitting out against right-hander Justin Verlander. Rua tends to see the bulk of his playing time against lefties given his meager .176 average against right-handed pitching on the season.

Rua went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Friday's 5-3 victory over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
After supplying a three-run homer in Thursday's series-closing win over the Phillies, Rua was able to stay hot Friday with the opposition bringing a left-hander to the hill in Daniel Norris. Rua singled in his first at-bat and later added a double off Norris to bring his line against southpaws this season up to .267/.313/.433. Right-hander Justin Verlander is scheduled to start Saturday for the Tigers, but with lefty Matt Boyd on the mound Sunday, Rua could have another quality performance left in him during this series.
