Ryan Raburn cut back on his normal running routine this offseason to preserve his legs.
"I just rested and let the body take care of itself," Raburn said. He changed his routine after dealing with calf, heel and Achilles tendon injuries last season. The 32-year-old will platoon in right field and should also see some time at first base this season. Raburn batted .272/.357/.543 in a career revival in 2013.

Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports that utilityman Ryan Raburn will see work at first base during spring training.
Raburn already has the ability to man either corner outfield position, as well as second base or third base. Adding even more versatility will give manager Terry Francona even more ways to work his bat into the lineup on a semi-regular basis. The 32-year-old slashed a healthy .272/.357/.543 with 16 homers and 55 RBI in only 243 at-bats in his first season with the Tribe.

Indians manager Terry Francona indicated Friday that Ryan Raburn could see increased playing time against right-handed pitching.
Raburn has been deployed primarily against southpaws this season, but has been such a valuable run producer that they need to find creative ways to get his bat in the lineup more often. He's had quite a resurgence this season, hitting .286/.380/.607 with 16 homers and 52 RBI in only 206 at-bats.

Ryan Raburn went 3-for-3 with a homer, a double, five RBI and a walk Thursday in the Indians' 14-3 rout of the White Sox.
Still dealing with a sore Achilles' tendon, Raburn has played in just three games since coming off the DL on Sept. 3. Of course, he's driven in 10 runs in those three games anyway. He's played five games in a month and hit three homers with 13 RBI. Imagine what he could do if he were healthy.

Indians manager Terry Francona admitted that Ryan Raburn isn't entirely healed.
"He's not 100 percent," Francona said. "But it's nice to have his bat back and to have him on the bench as a threat. I did watch him run the bases today, and he did pretty good." Cleveland activated the outfielder from the disabled list on Tuesday. Raburn had been shelved since August 19 with a left Achilles strain.
