Refsnyder went 2-for-4 with an RBI double, walk and run in Friday's 7-5 victory over the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
He opened the scoring with a run-scoring two-bagger in the first that plated Jacoby Ellsbury, Refsnyder's first RBI since his Sept. 2 recall from the minors. He's gone 3-for-6 with Friday's double and RBI, along with two walks and three runs scored over his pair of contests. His ability to fill in at multiple positions and make some modest offensive contributions should afford him some solid playing time over the balance of the campaign.

Refsnyder was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Although he's largely struggled at the major league level this season (.664 OPS), there was never any real doubt that Refsnyder would be among the Yankees' first wave of September callups. The 25-year-old saw time at first base, second, third, and the corner outfield spots during his time with the big club earlier this year.

Refsnyder was optioned back to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Refsnyder had been filling in at multiple positions with the Yankees over the past couple months, but will head back down to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for the time being. During his time with the Yankees this season, the 25-year-old has batted .264/.336/.328 with 11 RBI and 21 runs.

Refsnyder went 2-for-4 with one RBI in Wednesday's win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The RBI came in the form of a sacrifice fly and helped pad the Yankees lead, and Refsnyder crossed the plate to score a run himself twice in this one. The 25-year-old has been seeing somewhat consistent playing time as it is, but with the team's recent flurry of moves at the trade deadline, Refsnyder could be in line for an increased role in either the outfield or in a utility infielder capacity.

Refsnyder is out of the lineup for Tuesday's matchup with Houston, Jared Diamond of The Wall Street Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Refsnyder saw a spot start in place of Brett Gardner on Tuesday but will head back to the bench for Game-2 of the series. Refsnyder collected six hits in 22 at-bats (.273) during a six-game stretch entering the All-Star break but since then he's cooled off, managing just a single hit in his last 14 at-bats.

Refsnyder is out of the lineup for the second straight game Sunday against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Refsnyder had been occupying the small side of a platoon at first base with Ike Davis for the last week, but with Mark Teixeira (knee) returning from the DL on Saturday, it looks like Refsnyder's playing time could be on the decline. The Yankees designated Davis for assignment to make room for Teixeira, a switch-hitter who should play just about everyday so long as he's healthy. Refsnyder still has the ability to offer depth at second base, but he's unlikely to see much run there either with Starlin Castro holding down the fort.

Refsnyder is out of the lineup Sunday against the Twins, Jared Diamond of The Wall Street Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Refsnyder is stuck in a platoon at first base with the newly-signed Ike Davis, and he'll likely see the fewer starts of the two as the right-handed hitter. Though he's elevated his fantasy profile with a 6-for-13 mark at the plate over his last four games, Refsnyder remains best reserved for AL-only leagues until he begins to earn more consistent starts.

Refsnyder is not in Thursday's lineup against the Twins, Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Refsnyder will be on the bench again for the second time in as many days as Ike Davis is manning the first base duties for Thursday's contest. With injuries piling up for the Yankees at first base, Refsnyder has collected valuable time there in the past couple weeks, going 8-for-32 with four RBI in the month of June. Although the addition of Ike Davis will mean less playing time for Refsnyder, he will still get opportunities at the position until Chris Parmelee (hamstring) comes off the DL in mid-July.

Refsnyder will be the Yankees' everyday first baseman going forward according to manager Joe Girardi, the Lohud Yankees Blog reports.
EDGE Analysis
Say this for the Yankees' first base situation, it probably wasn't Refsnyder's .208/.259/.375 line that got him the everyday job. With Chris Parmelee (hamstring) hitting the DL, joining Mark Teixeira, Greg Bird, and Dustin Ackley, Refsnyder is the bench bat on the Yankees' roster that doesn't have significant playing time obligation elsewhere. His production in the majors comes from too small a sample to accurately predict his production going forward, but his .284/.366/.420 line in three seasons at Triple-A gives an indication that he should reach base at an okay clip while hitting for very little power.

Refsnyder is out of Wednesday's lineup against the Angels, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Refsnyder has emerged as manager Joe Girardi's preferred option at first base with Mark Teixeira (knee) on the DL, as the 25-year-old has seen four straight starts there, but he'll head to the bench Wednesday. Chris Parmelee will handle the first base responsibilities and bat eighth against Jered Weaver.
