Refsnyder will start at first base and bat ninth Sunday against the Blue Jays, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Chris Carter hitting just .180 this season and failing to provide enough power to compensate for the low average, manager Joe Girardi has increasingly turned to Refsnyder at first base to give the Yankees a more contact-oriented bat. Refsnyder will make his fourth start in six games at the position, but may not see regular at-bats for long with Greg Bird (ankle) having already kicked off a rehab assignment in the minors and seemingly on track to return to the Yankees by mid June.
