Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN reports that the Twins were one of the teams on hand in Los Angeles to watch Randy Wolf throw earlier in the week. Wolf has been auditioning for major league teams in recent weeks, attempting to prove his health after missing the entire 2013 season while recovering from Tommy John surgery. The 37-year-old southpaw may be forced to settle for a minor league contract, but the spacious confines of Target Field wouldn't be a bad place to land.

Randy Wolf auditioned for eight teams last week. Wolf sat out the 2013 season while recovering from Tommy John surgery. FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal says the veteran left-hander threw just 87-89 mph with his fastball in last week's workout but showed a good curve. He'll likely have to settle for a minor league deal.

Randy Wolf has been diagnosed with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow. Wolf is obviously done for the season and could require a second Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery. The veteran left-hander posted a 5.28 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 8/7 K/BB ratio in 15 1/3 innings this season for the Orioles. He will be a free agent this winter.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter said Randy Wolf has "two or three options" in regards to how he wants to handle his left elbow injury. Wolf underwent an MRI, but the O's haven't released the results yet. Though the team hasn't confirmed it, surgery certainly seems to be one of the options. "There are two or three options," Showalter said. "Randy's still got some questions he wants to ask Dr. Wilckens and Dr. Yocum before he and we make a definite decision about his availability for the rest of the year."

Randy Wolf is scheduled to visit Dr. Lewis Yocum later this week about his injured left elbow. Wolf felt elbow discomfort in the final inning of his start Saturday against the Red Sox and the O's are obviously worried that he has some level of strucutural damage. The veteran starter is likely done for the season, and he could miss part of 2013 if he needs surgery.
