Peter Bourjos will not undergo surgery on his right hip this offseason.
Bourjos said during spring training that he would likely need surgery after the season, but that's no longer the case. In fact, the 25-year-old is now considering playing winter ball in the Dominican Republic. Bourjos was limited to just 195 plate appearances this season and could be a popular trade target this winter.

Peter Bourjos has been dealing with "intestinal problems" lately, according to Angels manager Mike Sciosica.
Bourjos pinch-ran and scored a run Thursday, but he's had just one plate appearance since being activated from the disabled list earlier this month. It appears that he might be limited to being a pinch-runner and defensive replacement down the stretch.

Peter Bourjos (wrist) is expected to be activated from the disabled list Monday.
Bourjos, out since August 19, was recently cleared for a rehab assignment and will return when first eligible. He's doubtful to hold any fantasy value this season, but remains one of the better fourth outfielders.

Peter Bourjos doubled and homered in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Dodgers.
Bourjos took Aaron Harang deep for a two-run bomb in the second. It was just his second home run of the season. Strictly a part-time player for the time being, Bourjos and his .229/.291/.324 slash are off the radar in mixed leagues.

Peter Bourjos is in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Diamondbacks.
Bourjos hasn't started for the Angels since June 6, and doesn't currently have a defined role. "He's handling [his limited role] as well as you can," manager Mike Scioscia said. "He's waiting for an opportunity to contribute. It's obviously not an easy situation, but he's going to stay ready."

Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports that the Angels don't intend to trade or demote Peter Bourjos.
Moving Bourjos would clear up the logjam in the Angels outfield, but the Angels like having him around as quality depth. "Peter has a role on our team, and he's going to help us win games, although it's not a role he had last year," said Angels manager Mike Scioscia. While Los Angeles could get a decent return by trading their speedy young outfielder, they probably believe Bourjos will be a regular again in 2013.

Peter Bourjos is out of the Angels' starting lineup Wednesday afternoon.
Kole Calhoun will make his first major league start in left field and bat eighth. It's a good time to work the rookie into the mix, but we expect Bourjos to get an uptick in playing time with Vernon Wells (thumb) injured and Torii Hunter away from the team.

According to Angels GM Jerry Dipoto, the team is "not actively shopping him or looking for a fit for" Bourjos.
Dipoto continued calling Bourjos an asset to the team. While this may dispell some of the hoopla surrounding the proposed Bourjos to Washington rumors, where there's smoke there's usually fire. Don't be surprised if Bourjos is still moved at some point this summer, clearing up the logjam in the Angels outfield.
